It was mentioned in the original post, but I wanted to point out that there is a 2 meal limit in addition to the 4 hour timer between meals. I'm guessing that might have more to do with people getting food and sharing it than anything else.

Just got my 2015 PP with dining plan.

I really like the 9 payment plan, will be paid in full in April before park opens for only $31/month.

The dining plan has been an outstanding deal added to the Platinum Pass, even better now with all the parks included.

Can't wait to see how this evolves next year and what is added for healthier options.

We didn't leve the peninsula once this year during any of our visits to eat anywhere off point. And with the 10% discount with pass we actually ended up dining at places on point we haven't been to before, Bay Harbor, Tomo and C&P.

I just discovered yesterday that when you renew your platinum pass for 2015, you get your picture taken and a new pass in hand before leaving. Now I have two platinum passes- one 2014, one 2015 and there is no discernable difference between the two. Any reason they are not reusing the same pass from 2014 for next season as they have done in years past?

You shouldn't need to get a new pass when you renew. Are you sure you didn't choose to get a new pass by mistake?

I handed them my platinum pass to renew it for 2015 with the all season dining plan. They scanned it and swiped my credit card. I was told to come around back to have my picture taken for the new pass. I asked why they weren't using my current pass for next year and was told that they were not doing that.

They knew that I had a current platinum pass as the lady back there wrote 2014 on the signature line on one and 2015 on the signature line on the other so that I knew which one was which.

I wondering if they made a mistake in processing a new 2015 pass when it might not have been necessary.

You did not need a new pass. But you got a nice new one. I renewed and they just said my old pass is now active for next year -- its a piece of crap, bent, ink flaking off, it's been used for 4 years now and carried around in my wallet...and still they did not replace it. All they need is the electronic strip on the back.

Is there some time frame they follow for making people update the pass photo?

Nope. The current price is the cheapest you are going to find. Still a great value.

I contacted C.P. concerning my platinum pass issue and they called me on the phone. Come to find out, they added my 2015 dining plan to my 2014 pass, not my 2015 pass. I never would have known that until I went to use it next year and found out it didn't work.

The nice lady from Cedar Point straightened it all out. She has no idea why they issued me a new platinum pass instead of renewing my current one.

I don't think so (i.e timeframe for pass photo)...after a number of years they'll add some new identifier to the card and then we'll all have to replace them...I saw the photo they have on my card and it looks NOTHING like me...and not one single person has ever questioned that it is me...so I don't think its much of a deal to them...

I am in the process of renewing our Platinum passes, (3 of them), and noticed there was a $6.99 processing fee. I am fine with that if it is only a one time thing, but am I going to be charged an additional $6.99 each month if I go with the payment plan? I tried to call, but the offices were closed, and thought someone here might know. Thank You!

How does the free 2014 visit work if you are buying season passes for the first time? Do you go and get your season passes the day that you want to visit? Do you get ERT? Do you still pay for parkimg?

You can buy online and print out the paper voucher. The paper is both your one-time admission and your season pass voucher. Easiest is to just use the paper to get in (yes it works for ERT), then keep it and turn it in at the season pass center later in the day when it's less busy.

According to the park, technically the 2015 pass is for 2015, so you have to pay for parking in 2014...unless you can schmooze a parking attendant to be nice.

Of course, then you can call up the park again, talk to an entirely different person, and they may tell you parking is included, so your best bet is just talking with the attendant when there's a line of cars behind you as motivation for them to wave you on through.

Thanks for the advice about using the voucher to get in and then coming back to the season pass office later.

Somewhere in another thread I thought someone said that the 2014 visit was essentially like a "bonus" day where you get passholder benefits. That's really the only reason I asked about the parking. I suppose it might be worth contacting CP directly. I just thought I'd check here first to see if anyone had any experiences to share.

Sorry, they're non-refundable. It even says so in the fine print. If you don't pay on it, then your pass will be deactivated and won't scan when you try to use it.
