2015 Season Pass Sales Now Live

I renewed my platinum pass today, and I included the dining plan for next year. I figure I can still eat whatever I want, and I just wont have to pay for most of it, since most of what I end up getting is one of the options somewhere in the park. If they include the drinks, great. If not, I'll get a souvenir cup my first visit, like always, and use it all season. No biggie.

I admit we have just gone for early ride time at KI and left around 11 a lot. We live just a few minutes away so its not a big deal. Being at the park and talking to people I know who have passes really had no clue about all the pass perks!

Fast Lane - great idea! Pay for something that costs them nothing, brings in more revenue, pays of debt faster, get new coasters faster. I'm all for it.

I think much of the perceived slowing of lines with the addition of Fast Lane is exaggerated. Millennium Force's line has moved just as steadily the last couple of years as I've always remembered.

As for the options on the meal plan, I've never been a fan of the in-park food. I'll happily pay to eat at Friday's and Famous Dave's every visit. If, however, Chick-Fil-A were magically added, my mind would change in a heartbeat.

The meal plan is great if you have kids going to the park with friends. No need to send any money then!

So... I lead a low-fat vegetarian diet. By healthy I mean that I'd like an option other than french fries, burgers, and pizza. :-)

I would gladly pay twice the price for a "Season Dining Plus" option that included Midway Market, or something similar.

Also, bummed that there isn't a season long ride and refresh option available. I don't want to re-hash a dead horse, but the souvenir drink cups suck (as discussed in the other thread I started).

Please don't take me as a complainer though. I'm renewing my pass tonight!

KI has some healthier options. Antipasto salad, Hoagy and side salad, burrito shack (I get the veggie bowl a lot), and they'll usually let you sub a side salad or fruit cup for fries. Hopefully CP will get on board with that for next year.

Please, not another debate about Fast Lane. Just except it and get over it. If you don't want to wait as long, buy it.

The combined IQ on here is staggering sometimes.

Is the chain wide Platinum dining pass only available if you renew at Cedar Point? It seems strange that they are not offering it at all the parks.

Will it? No one knows for sure until they try. Should it? No. If one were to have such an issue, methinks a simple trip to the season pass center should rectify that.

If you renew your pass, do you still get the free 2014 ticket, and if you do can somebody else use it?

No, they do not give a ticket. If you get a NEW pass, you can use it once in 2014. Since I already got a season pass, I don't see much incentive to renew it now other than the payment plan, but I like to pay it once and be done and I don't want to pay for something now that can't be used until next spring.

No. Complimentary tickets have always been solely for new passholders.

IMO, they should give something to repeat passholders, kind of like KI. It doesn't have to be a Fastlane, but at least something.

Even if they did give something to renewing passholders, I don't think I would renew it now. I don't like spending money on something that can't be used for several months. There's alot of other things I could use that money for in that time. And I would hate to buy a pass and a situation arises where I wouldn't be able to go to the park much that year. I can't sell my pass. And my birthday is May 8th, right around opening day, so I usually renew around my birthday with birthday money.

I don't need anything given to me for the pass. I paid for the pass, and it's dirt cheap to begin with...I've used it at least a dozen times or more so far at CP, who knows how much at KI.

I guess you're right. It isn't a bad price with the Cedar Fair dining pass either.

No they don't need to give me anything. The pass is already an excellent value as it is. It pays for itself after about 2.5 visits. Even more if you use the discounts and perks.

Even more if they throw in a renewing discount;)

There is a discount... of $4.50. Realistically though, that simply reduces the processing fee to $0.49..
