Stupid crowd-related question...

We are looking to visit the Point sometime between August 20-30 on a weekday. Does park attendance take a significant hit with schools returning, and especially with the local schools with returning on August 26th? We would prefer the first week, but are strongly considering the latter due to Sandusky schools in session.

Last few weeks of August should be pretty good on the weekdays. I plan on hitting it some time during the last week.

The park does have shorter hours those weeks, but there should be a lower crowd level to make up for that.

Edited to add- with Michigan schools not going back until after Labor day, the park could still get pretty busy with Michigan residents heading down. I recall a previous year where they offered some decent discounts to anyone with a Michigan ID.
