Larger folk, have you had trouble? I hear the vest is pretty tight. I haven't gotten a chance to try the test seat (I'm an employee), ladies especially since I hear this ride is tough on the Girls, have you been fitting alright?

I am 6' 300 pounds male. I can only fit in the forth row and it is tight.

The fourth row does have belts that seem roughly an inch longer than anywhere else on the train. Make sure you go there if you're worried about it.

^ Thats all thats different about the 4th row. I was expecting a little wider seat and maybe a little more slack in the vest, but about an extra inch on the belt is all you get!

I am about 5'9" & 250lbs. I was able to ride in any of the seats but it was a tight fit in the regular seats. The ride ops had to help get the seat belt. Row 4 was not a problem at all for me. I was able to lock myself in. It really depends on where you carry the weight. I am thicker in the legs and that is what causes the problem for me.

The B&M "big boy seats" have always been like that. Making the seat physically different I assume would mean it would have to have some sort of increased minimum height/size limit just for that row, which would be a nightmare operationally. A little extra slack on the belt can go a long way most of the time, without having to make any changes that would prevent everyone else from using those seats/rows.

Then why not put those belts on all of the seats? If the only real difference is the belt length, I would think it would be accomadating to more people.

I am 6'6" and 250lbs and did not have any issue fitting in any seat. Still had a little slack in the belt.

But it really depends where your weight is... Somebody with the same height/weight may not fit if the legs/thigh area is thicker or a much larger chest, etc...

The trains seem to me, equivalent to any other B&M train seat/belt wise. I had about the same slack in the belt on GK as I do on Raptor and any other B&M.

My father fit today. 5'10", 270. Shaped like Buddha. Fit in the fourth row. Still can't ride TTD, MF but got on Maverick. About to try Mean Streak...it's his favorite.

6' 1", 266. Row 4 (red belt) is not a problem. The other rows, however, are. I can fit the black (short) belt on the test seat but after trying multiple times on media day no one could get it to go for me.

I have a small gut and thighs like hams (29" around). MF and TTD are no gos for me (but I'm at less than an inch till I can get them buckled).

And he made it on Mean Streak! Time to get a couple more rides on GK! Another beautiful day at the Point.

Is anyone willing to share their waist sizes for those who cant get on TTD or MF? Im hoping my friend who is 5' 10, 270 but has only a 40 inch waist will be able to get on.

40" waist is about it for MF -- you can probably get up to about 44" for TTD...But it depends on where they carry the wait -- if its large all the way around, then the belt will not fit even a 40" waist -- if its the type of "belly fat" that rides above the waist line, then it will buckle no problem.

For the record, I have a 40" waist and I can get MF buckled with a big breath and an occasional assist from the ride op, but it works....TTD is absolutely no problem. Neither was Gatekeeper, Raptor, WT, or any of the other rides people complain about.

I love the incredibly tactful attempt to make the topic title.

Why? Yes, most of the time "guests of exceptional size" means overweight, but not always. It all depends on your body proportions AND SIZE. Big muscle guys don't fit on most B&M roller coasters with OTSRs either. People with larger legs and glutes don't fit on some rides. That is why it isn't "fat people might have problems fitting on some of our rides."

I don't know the exact answer to that, but on the other B&M coasters, the big boy seats have two seat belts. I assume that's a fail safe, since they are allowing the harness to go down fewer clicks than the other seats. Gatekeeper's row 4 still just has one belt, so I'm really not sure what the difference/distinction is there.

I think on GateKeeper B&M is using hydraulic locks on the restraints, they seem to lock tight wherever the restraint is and I have not noticed clicks like on Raptor. So, the number of clicks probably is not an issue since there are no clicks as far as I can tell.

I am about the same, 6'3 40" waist, maybe even a 38. Last year I fit on everything. MF was not a problem on the red train on the left hand side. TTD was not an issue, sat on the right hand side.

Raptor was fine also. Sat in the back with no problems. The biggest motivation for me last year was to loose weight to ride the coasters that I wanted to. I have dropped about 45lbs since last summer.

I know someone posted the length of the seatbelt for MF test seat.
