I think all of the new employees need to do the park tour. I was wondering how long is the park tour orientation. I know the whole CP Park due to I have been there so many times every year but I do not know where the employee areas are but I do know where all of the rides are and etc.

the whole class for the tour is about 3 hours long though. you walk around for an hour of it, and yes it is paid!

Maybe not this soon but hopefully with Matt being from Disney, the Training Department will receive a huge upgrade and actually take the time to give their seasonal employees the tools they need.

There are a lot of aspects of the Disney company that I would like to see implemented into Cedar Fair. I think they COULD take a little bit more time during training to talk to new seasonal employees about the history of the park. I do think that an eight hour park orientation for MK was a bit much though, by the end of it I was extremely inattentive and just wanted to go home. Too much information! Haha.

The Disney Training program is a lot. Yes there are a lot of aspects of the Disney Company. When I worked at the MK I had to do the 8 hour park orientation too. When I went full time I have to do the 8 hour park orientation for Epcot too right after my college program finished.

When do we do the park tour? Is it during one of our training classes?
