Drug Testing for Screamters

I was wondering if they drug test potential screamsters as I have a buddy that's thinking of joining me on this adventure and he smokes. Will that stop him from being hired?

There are random screenings that happen quite frequently. I would suggest he either stop smoking for the duration of his employment (seriously, it's only 2 months) or not apply.

Edit: I should add that I assume when you say he smokes, you mean pot. Cigarettes/cigars are fine. I know some workplaces have outlawed cigarette smoking recently, so I figured I should clarify since your question was vague.

Yeah, it's bud that he smokes. He can quit while he's up there. Just trying to make sure he's not gonna get sent home the day he gets there if they test him pre-hiring.

Well just remember that it is completely random so just because you wont get it while processing in doesn't mean they wont call you up the next morning and have you come in for a test.

Yeah, we spend billions of dollars a year to fight a war against a plant. It's pretty dumb if you ask me.

My comment still pertains to the fact that someone posts about an illegal activity, hoping to get a job, on an internet forum.

Whether it should be legal or not isn't the issue, as of now it is illegal and to be dumb enough to post about it astounds me.

I was amazed by that too. Not many other things could be as effective in giving them reasonable suspicion to test you right up front.

Very true.

Drug testing is the norm. Illegal drugs are illegal and employers don't want to hire illegal drug users.

It's the way it is...
