Hi, I'll be processing in on May 17th and I have a car and more than likely i want to live off point in commons. My question is since i will be having a car, is there a close parking lot by Commons? How far away from cedar point is COmmons so I will allow myself enought time to get to work? I work the nite shift so I can imagine that I wont have a big problem with traffic

I am not 100% sure but I believe there is parking available by Commons. I will also be living there and I am bringing my car. As for as distance, it is only a mile or two away. Commons is right by the causeway that leads you to Cedar Point. I wouldn't imagine it taking more then ten minutes to get to your car, drive, and enter the park from Commons.

Yes Commons is not that far away at all. I usually got in my car at about 9:50 and clocked in, and was at Disaster Transport by 10, and that was with traffic. Ten minutes is defiantly enough time, especially if you are night shift.

And didn't wake up until 9:40 after hitting the snooze 30 times... Guess you can do that again this year...

To answer your question, there is parking right next to commons which we call "princess parking" and some across the street where you just walk over the bridge.

My question is "Will they increase the parking fee this year for guests?".

I had a platinum pass last year, so I was good...but "still". For others less lucky, will the fee increase?

Doubt it...If the ticket price isnt going up, and even if it does go up a little, I think the $10 parking will stick.

Depending on where you work in the park it can take some time. Employees are only supposed to park in the main lot near Disaster Transport/Space Spiral, so if you work in the back of the park it can be a bit of a hike.

Well, at Commons there is Princess parking (guys, it's ok to park there..you will probably want to!) which is right next to commons. There is the other lot which is across the road (you cross that brown bridge over the road, and PS look out for spiders!). Also, adult ticket prices have gone up a whole whopping dollar! Sr and kids are still the same. I doubt this will affect parking prices though.

probably a dumb question -

but this will be my first summer working at cedar point, sooo....

do employees have to pay for parking every day?

No. You get a parking sticker that gets you through the Toll Booths without having to stop.

Would it be a good idea to speed through the tolls at like 50mph if we're running late?

:trollin:

That's also a good way to rack up some golden tickets... made payable to the city of Sandusky.
