My family were planning a one night trip to Cedar Point. This is are first time staying overnight due to the fact we live an hour away but this year we would like to hit Soak City along with CP. Since we are kind of on a budget we were looking at eighter a room pkg at Breakers Express or a Room pkg at Bon Air. They both cost within 50 dollars of another so I'm up for suggestions of wich is better.

What are you looking for? Bon Air is in an old section of Breakers, it has window AC and again its old. Breakers Express is newer. Breakers is walking distance from CP and includes free parking, Breakers Express does not.

Whenever possible I prefer to stay at Breakers (on site) over Express. I like the convenience of being able to walk back to my room to grab a sweatshirt, snack that I packed, etc.

It also leaves some flexibility as to what time you leave the park at night, if 1 or 2 people in your party want to call it a day at 9pm, the others in your party can stay until close, and not have to worry about transportation back to the hotel.

The Bon Air section is old, but I'm not that picky, I just need a bed and a shower. I'm not worried if the carpet isn't in great shape or the paneling is circa 1960 :)

Personally, I would go with Bon Aire. You cant beat the convenience. You just get up in the morning and go, no need to pack a bag for the park. If you need something, just go to your room and get it. No comparison, IMO.

I personally stay at the Bon Air section of the Breakers every trip I make to the Point. While the rooms/hallways aren't the most luxurious, you are about 10 steps away from the beach, and 20 from the Magnum entrance.

I have yet to be disappointed during one of my stays...

I haven't been to either, but I think I would love to be able to walk to my room from the park! I think it would be fun to soak up the hotel experience at Cedarpoint!

Personally if convieniance is not a big issue and everyone is able to come and go at the same time I would go express or offsite completely. I love breakers but the room I had in bon aire is the worst room I have ever stayed in in my life.

I am not a picky person. I just like cleanliness and hot water.

I always stay at breakers but I shell out more funds for a better room. If this is not possible I would go offsite.

But I only stayed in BA once so maybe it was just bad luck.

I'm going out to get some air.

I would personally go for the convenience of staying on point. Bring some febreze it helps a lot with the old smell that is in those rooms. I always bring some disinfectant wipes and do a little cleaning when I stay in a room. The ability to bring your own snacks and refreshments, helps save some money, and I like to chill out at the pool or just take a nap during the peak hours of the day, then go back in for the last few hours, for some magnum/raptor marathons, or whatever else has a short line.

Any room in Hotel Breakers is better than Breakers Express.
