I am going to start as soon as my dept opens for work. I will be driving from Up state NY where i just finished school or Maine I may go see friends because i have no reason to stay. I dont want to go all the way home to so cal then come back to mid west in a few weeks.

If i get in the area a day early can i process in that day or do i have to wait?

What happenes if you get stuck somewhere and are a day or two late? Do you still have a job? Do you still get the bonus?

I've known people that show up a day early to process in and it wasn't really a big deal although its discouraged I think. If you're late, you'll still have a job most likely and I don't know how it'll affect your bonus.

If you know you'll be late, just call Human Resorces or your department manager and allow them to know and explain any reasoning. This should save you any hassle.

I know if you get there 1 day early, you can get into housing, and process in the next morning.

My first year of working at CP in 2006 I arrived a day late (coming from California) due to a canceled flight. I just called Park Ops and left a message to let them know, and had no problem or hassle processing-in the day after I was supposed to, and still received my bonus. They're really much more concerned with you staying till the end of your contract. Just let them know.

Ok on oh my friends asked me to ask this. Is there any position in the park that will hire someone who is 18 but not graduated from high school yet and if so would they be allowed to stay in the dorms since they are over 18?

Thank You

I think every one will hire highschool students, as long as they are 18. I know of one guy in rides that was going into his senior year at the end of last year.

17 year olds are no longer permitted to live in housing even with a high school diploma. All employees must be 18 to live in housing now.
