The 80's music may be bad, but it's better than the over-produced junk they make now. Half the time you can't even hear the words over the music nowadays.

Yes there are days when you hear it, on crowded days when the wait is 20-30 min (still worth it) you hear it. Its great. I also used to love hearing the Top Gun soundtrack at KI, wish they could have kept that with the name change.

The 80s music in the Magnum queue gives a great theme, considering the coaster was built in 1989!

They should play the song "in your wildest dreams" by the Moody Blues in Magnum's line. :) good song.

what's sad to say is that, I like Led Zeppelin, and I hear better music IN THE BATHROOMS, then I hear while in line for Millennium :(

That's because some people spend more time in the bathroom then they do in a queue.

I guess I don't spend enough time in lines to care. I dont think we ever wait more than 10-15 minutes for anything anymore, except for TTD, only because of rollbacks, etc.

I know I enjoy music while I want. I wish that they would play a larger variety through the park! I do like the 80's music. But I am good with anything that has a great beat to keep you moving!

Yesterday while waiting for Magnum, I noticed a Stark State commercial on the queue TV's. I go there so I felt an extra sense of pride since in past years, they don't advertise Colleges from the Akron-Canton area.

Speaking of queue TV's, none of them in Maverick's queue were working yesterday. You could hear sound, but there was no picture.

Is it college week? That could be why. I saw tons of college tables set up around the valravn and celebration plaza midways. PLus, almost everyone had a college sweatshirt on.

In line for Iron Dragon last Saturday stopped right in front of the TV. An animated music video was playing, I thought the animation resembled Adventure Time or Regular Show from Cartoon Network. It was creative and I enjoyed it until..... a character in the video gives the "finger" towards the end of the song. It was titled "Space Cadet" artist is Flume. Whoever chooses the playlist, please remove this from the rotation. It is inappropriate for a family theme park, lots of children around ID.

I know, the character only has 4 fingers, how do I know it is meant to be "that" finger?

Maybe it was just meant for me.

I just watched that video 3 times and there is nothing of the sort.

If you're referring to the guy in red, he is very clearly pointing as you can see his thumb is next to the finger and folded down.

The shocked look on the other characters' faces after he "points" suggests that maybe the dude in red was giving them the finger. Or, they may have been surprised that he referred to them as..well I won't repeat it here because it will probably get deleted but the lyrics are online. Either way it doesn't bother me but I can see how it might cause a reaction from people.

I'm thinking it's more of how he addresses them in the uncensored version.

You couldn't pay me enough to watch that 3 times. In fact, I couldn't even get through it once. That was awful. And I do agree that the lyrics are inappropriate for families as well. This is why they should bring back the oldies. Far less derogatory.

The problem with a lot of pop music in recent years is that most people have no idea what the lyrics are about. They usually have a catchy hook that people sing along with but don't really "get" the song's point.

My son used to sing "Poker Face" by Lady GaGa because it was catchy and repetitive. But the verses were pretty inappropriate for a little kid.

"Semi-Charmed Life" by Third Eye Blind is about crystal meth addiction, but it has a very upbeat motif to it and a catchy chorus.

"Glycerine" by Bush (ok now I'm going way back) was about drug use and I remember couples in high school saying it was "their song".

These are just a few off the top of my head.

Sure, because in the 1950's, people weren't screaming that rock music was derogatory, evil and over sexualized... Oh, and you really should look up the original lyrics to Tutti Frutti sometime...
