I think Millennium Flyers would be a great addition to Mean Streak. I've heard that GCI only installs them on their own coasters, but with the retracking and all, is it possible they could make an exception?

Uh, the ride is retracked on almost a perpetual basis.

Obviously it doesn't work then.

Well for all of the self-appointed experts here, yeah, I suppose that's how it would appear. Everyone thinks that you just need to replace the steel, lube it up and watch it go, and it's not that simple.

I wouldnt think it would be if they had to call another company to survey and perform the task. To "re-work" it, I assume must be an almost complete overhaul. can anyone say money?

Yeah, it will cost money alright, but still alot cheaper than building an entire new ride structure from scratch. Although, that's not such a bad idea. :)

So maybe someone here can answer my question; forgetting the notion of "retracking", what exactly would "re-working" Mean Streak entail?

Unless it's the structure itself that's part of the problem. Ever consider that?

I would bet large sums of money that CP will not make any significant investment to make Mean Streak better. Ever.

I have to admit, I'm not seeing the ROI here. I'm guessing if this were to happen it would be more of a general park improvement.

From my experience yesterday it should be against the law to use the word "smooth" in the same sentence with "Mean Streak." It seems to be getting worse by the year.
