Cedar Point is mentioned in the Harold and Kumar that just released on DVD. During the ending credits a song is playing that mentions Cedar Point. The song is by Rufus Johnson. I have never heard the song before. I about flipped out when I heard it. I hope this does not get deleted for the adult content in the movie.

Peace, Mikey

Well after 5 minutes of web searching, Rufus Johnson is better known as the rapper (Bizarre)... He was a part of the rap group D12 with Eminem. He's from Detroit, so mentioning Cedar Point is understandable... However I looked at the track list for the new Harold and Kumar movie, and although there is a song by Bizarre, it does not talk about Cedar Point. There is a song (not on the soundtrack) that features Bizarre called "Psycho, Psycho, Psycho!" that does mention Cedar Point, but not in a very positive light...

I won't quote the lyric here, but I'm sure you can all use Google and find it.
::sigh:: I can respect good rap music, but so much of this is just plain stupid and innappropriate.

Josh, I agree with you. I do like rap at times for the beat, I just try to ignore the lyrics. They are, as you said, just plain stupid.

"You wanna, you gotta, you hafta hold on, Cedar Point...HOLD ON!"

I don't listen to it.... I don't mean any offense, I was just stating my opinion. Feel free to "crank dat Soulja Boy" anywhere you want... it's a free country. ;)

I'm not offended. I just find it ridiculous for anyone to dismiss a genre of anything as "stupid", simply because they don't enjoy it. So, sure, that's an opinion, just as its my opinion that such people are simple-minded morons. :)

I didn't dismiss the genre whatsoever. I own several hip-hop albums, and find many hip-hop artists to be incredibly talented... There are just others that I find to be silly/ridiculous. Again, it's just my opinion, and I hardly find it as simple-minded or moronic...

So you're supposed to embrace things that you think are stupid, even when that's counter to your opinion? That doesn't make any sense.

Of course it doesn't make any sense - I never said a word about embracing anything.

I didn't know that Harold and Kumar was considered a "major hollywood movie."

The first one was good (and 18 million box office on a 9 million investment isn't bad either). I haven't seen the new one yet.

The first one was hilarious. I love hip hop. But a lot of the songs do have very stupid lyrics.

The second one did even better....12 million invested and 40 million at the box office. Its no Batman, but not bad for that type of movie. DVD sales should be pretty high too (pardon the pun).

^ - and to keep the stoner comedy train rolling, Cheech and Chong are (at this point anyway) re-uniting for a comedy tour. That'll be worth going to see.

I would pile onto the 'hate hip hop' pile, but I guess when I listen to music about big rigs, tractors, Tennessee, and Rodeos, I don't have much room to talk. :)

Harold and Kumar is a New Line Cinema title, a subsidiary of Warner Brothers. Warner Brothers is a "Big Six" studio, so that pretty much solidifies the movie as major.

I looked up the lyrics to that song, and there are no lines at all in the song that mention cedar point. There are actually a few songs by Bizzarre called american psycho, american psycho 2, and american psycho II, or something like that. I looked at alll 3 of them. No cedar point.
