Whatever dude. You don't know how they roll. The PR guy for one park doesn't need to know about a ride going to another park, so why tell him?

Why would Cedar Point know where it's going? Wouldn't it be Cedar Fair?

Well, the PR for Cedar Point and Geauga Lake are merged now, so they would know anything about Geauga.

Cedar Fair either:
A) Haven't told Geauga/CP where it is going but DO know (and either have/haven't told the other park).

or

B) Don't actually know.

It might be a new ride in a park for 2008. So they wouldn't say where it is going now. Likewise, they might not have decided yet.

I think I would pick A in this situation. Only I think Cedar Fair knows, and maybe has told both Cedar Point and Geauga Lake where it's going but they're not allowed to say a word. That's my thought of what's going on.

I think anytime a rollercoaster is dismantled is sad. :(

What if X-flight was my favorite coaster? Ive never rode it (or so I remember) Its been too long since I had been there to know; but that would be like them taking down Mean Streak. I'm sure X-flight has a lot of fans we don't know about.

Where's the double post?

And it's not like the thing isn't being rebuilt somewhere else. The dismantling was well deserved according to the numbers if you watched the DK interview.

Not to mention the fact that Firehawk looks really really good at Kings Island. It never looked that good at GL with that awful green paint job.

^Agreed.

It looks like it belongs at KI. The new paint job is awesome, as well as now it actually has a sort-of theme! It looked awful at GL, just stuck out like a sore thumb.

Besides, who cares if a ride has "fans that nobody knows about"? It's not like the parks are there to please the "enthusiast"...

P.S. Should I follow this post up and add to it? thx

You can't possibly be serious. X-Flight has already been relocated to King's Island, received a new paint job, new station, refurbished trains and is slated to open this weekend.

You may want to at least read SOME posts before making your own next time.

Well, there are NUMEROUS threads in this forum about why they did it. So, I'll let you read those instead of starting the whole conversation again.
