Maverick Launch Tunnel Work??

It's probably more of a, "Hey, since we have this extra time on our hands anyway, what can we do to make it a little better?" type thing.

If that was the case, why don't they add the second canyon and water mill that was nixed?

One can only hope.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I doubt they would have done this if they didn't feel it was a safety issue. Which makes sense, you definitely don't want items from the station dropping onto either the track or a train below. I'm just a bit surprised that this hadn't already been done. I wonder how much it will obscure the trains going through the launch tunnel, since that seemed to be one of the "selling points" of having the train go below the station.

It's not uncommon for a ride to receive some extra work after opening day. Check out TTD on opening day compared to what it looked like a month later.

I did wonder if they had anything in place to prevent loose articles from falling through. I seem to remember a guest somehow getting hurt after they fell off the platform on TTD.

They fell into the gap between track and platform. I could be wrong, but I think it happened in May or June 2003.

Even if it wasn't CP's fault, that doesn't mean people aren't going to sue.

Eyewitness accounts from more than one person at the park that day pretty much tie it up for me. It happened. It probably looked like it was a bigger deal than it was. If she did not sustain any serious injury, why would more know about it?

It seems that there's been a recent increase in the use of chat shorthand and poor grammar. While this is not English class, it is extremely difficult to read posts that are full of shorthand, misspelled words, and sentences that run together.

Here's a link to that quote if you'd like to continue reading.

Did you notice any work being done in the canyon? How late were you there?
