Seatbelts on Iron Dragon?

Raptor0137

On my recent visit to Kings Island, I noticed that they had seatbelts installed on their suspended coaster Top Gun. And this being a Cedar Fair park, do you thinks that it's inevitable that we will see them on Iron Dragon on opening day?

And if so, that would leave only Disaster Transport as Cedar Point's only coaster without a seatbelt. Or maybe I spoke too soon and we'll them there as well!

Iron dragon doesn't need them and it was never a problem in the past so why would they install them?

Corkscrew didn't need them and was never a problem either. But, it now has seatbelts.

no one knows why CF puts belts on one coaster and none on the other ;)

Those shoulder bars on Iron Dragon hold you in pretty good.

And maybe it's because Top Gun is a wilder ride compared to the tamer Iron Dragon?! But even so, an Arrow suspended coaster should have the same restraint system in place for both.

^^ and what holds you in when those go? Iron Dragon doesnt even need otsr a simple seatbelt would work with that ride,

Ride or Die

Theme parks are now getting very cautious when it comes to safety. It seems to me that they are going over the top in some aspects. Taking away from the ride quality.

Top Coasters:

1. Maverick 2. Millennium Force 3. Top Thrill Dragster 4. Sheikra 5. Magnum

ride on ride warriors, ride on

Maybe they use the seatbelts to control the size of the riders. Can't fit the belt, can't ride.

That's why it's always nice to get to a smaller, independent park like Conneaut Lake or Waldameer.

COMMING SOON!!! Seatbelts for the Queue! Your safety matters while you wait in line, seatbelts will be mandatory so you don't get hurt by the extreme forces of the line jumpers and the silver rails.

I still support the Seat Belts for the Queue idea. Those silver handrails can leave a nasty mark.

And before long, you'll probably see them on the Space Spiral and C.P. & L.E. Railroad :)

As long as they're the retractable belts that they have Kings Island, I'm totaly fine with it. I hate being smacked in the face by those stupid belts on Corkscrew.
