And with the pay raise, housing prices might go up also, the admissions price has went back up $2.00, because of new construction, so they're definitely are going to be short of staff.

CP already has housing prices listed on the website for 2007, so I doubt they'll go up, but its CP so you never know. They might deside to raise rates for Halloweekends or something. Heck they did that with parking last year.

Deciding to raise the housing rates would be an incredibly stupid decision on CP's part. They're bad enough as it is, and deducting more from the paychecks would definitely result in an increased number of broken contracts.

That's true, housing is just housing......But it's a roof over my head.

I could see them charging for it durring Halloweekends before raising it. But I doubt they will even do that. If it were to be raised, it would be after the 2007 season.

Ugh, that would suck, don't give them ideas. I enjoy my free place to stay during Halloweekends. Of course, I know a few people in town that have been generous with their residences before. ;)

Regardless of pay if I wasnt getting married to a man who also has 2 children I would work at Cedar Point again. Sometimes the amount of money you make really doesn't matter if your having the time of your life.

How much better is the pay increase if in 04 it was $6.25 with $1.00 bonus verse $6.85 with a $.50 bonus? Is it worth it?

Money does not make one happy. Keep that in mind, whether you have a lot of it or not.

I was going to stay weather i had a bonus or not through to the end. but an increase in housing would be a bad move. The prices seemed just right. Well for commons in my opinion. Now if you tried to increase the price as far as the one (cant remember the name) that was right by human resources, that would be a bad bad move! yuck!

No, but having money to buy essentials can make life not suck so much.

What is an employment agreement?

Talk about a blast from the past...

But anyways, it's essentially your contract. It outlines where you are to work and outlines the dates of your employment, as well as your pay rate.

So when does the bonus kick in for a given week?

If you have fulfilled your employment agreement, you will receive a check about a month later; that is your bonus.

So as long as you work where and when your contract says, you're paid $7.35/hour for all hours worked? (6.85+.50)

If you want to look at it that way, yes.

Essentially, you make $6.whatever an hour for the time of your contract. When your contract is fulfilled about a month later they send you a check for $.50 an hour multiplied by how many hours you worked in the season.

Receiving the bonus check was always a bittersweet moment. You had waited so long to receive your bonus, but then feeling let down when you see how much the government takes back in taxes.
