Returning Employee Application Out

If you didn't know already, the applications are available for those of us who worked at the CP last year. Fill 'em out! They're a little different than they were last year. The first part is the same, but the second part is one of those really annoying, something like 150 questions that ask if you agree or disagree... I hate those...

Would it be possible for anyone to post the 150 questions? Just curious as to what they are.

They're just personality questions...nothing special.
I haven't seen the application yet, but those types of questions are usually like "I am a reliable person" Agree or Disagree?

...that kind of thing. Not really anything to write home about.
Although I heard they did throw in a couple calculus questions. ;)

Wtf, why do they need to do all that stuff for returners?

I'm sure it's the same application for everyone. Returners are just getting to apply first.

I didn't even know we were allowed to return employees. Where do we take them? And do they have to be broken, or is it okay if they're just irregular?

Funny you should ask that. I called Cedar Point HR yesterday, and they said Wednesday, Dec. 27th. I'm thinking about going back for one more year!

Go to Jobs -> Applying -> Apply Online! Enter your information in the returning users section. If it tells you that your user name and password are invalid, then request your password be mailed to you and then try entering your information again. This is what I had to do.

Type your SSN in on the jobs.cedarpoint.com page. Not all returners can, I know of 1 person who was not able to fill out an application. He did not complete his contract though. Everyone else I've heard of being able to fill it out. If you can't, when you put your SSN in, it will just tell you apps will be online in late December.

But yeah, I know that I hate crumbs on the tablecloth! Its my biggest pet peeve ever!

LMAO T, some of those questions were out of this world. It would be cool to see the results that it came out with.

Apparently, I won a T-shirt for applying early. I actually enjoyed the personality test. If you've ever done any "behind the scenes" work with them, then you can actually see what they are looking for. For example it asks the same question in slightly different form multiple times to look at consistency in answers. As for cleanliness... Talk about beating a dead horse.

Yeah, I thought the T-Shirt was a pretty cool incentive for filling out an application. Especially since the T-Shirts are in excess of $18.00.

Well apparently the application has opened to everyone know, including people who didn't complete their contracts, which I find kind of interesting. I didn't think they let "no-rehires" apply online last year. Is this something new for this season?

I was amazed that it let me enter the application since I didn't complete my contract last season. I still regret leaving as my summer at Cedar Point was probably the best summer of my life, but the job offer I took when I left was an amazing opportunity that I just couldn't pass up. Now that I am settled in as a travel agent and working out of our new Ashland University campus travel office, I get summers off, so I might just consider going back to the point next summer. We'll have to see what's going on as that time gets closer. All that I know of for sure is that if they'll take me back I'm certainly not going to leave again because I love working there!

As for what department I'll end up in, who knows. I've thought about going back to ride photo because I loved it, but at the same time I'm also considering giving ride operations or food service (full-service server or supervision only) as shot. I know I'll have to talk to my old manager first before any department would probably want to hire me, but I still think I'd like to come back if I have the opportunity. Who knows, only time will tell, but if any other "no-rehires" have been able to successfully apply and/or have had an interview already, I'd love to hear about it.

I am just curious as a ride op who completed their 2006 contract...

When do they usually start calling/e-mailing you for interviews?

I filled out a TL application, when do I find out if I got the position, during the interview?

Im kinda getting antsy for the new season to start already!

Returners don't get interviews. The TL positions should be filled soon and ATL's filled along the way. If you get offered a leadership position then they will call you and offer it to you. Else you will get a contract in the mail with location.

So if you dont get offered a leadership position then they will just mail you a contract without even calling you to tell you that you are hired? Just wondering.
