I think they picked cabin 8 randomely (sp?) from the cabins they had and then painted it 13 because it is considered by some an unlucky number. At least thats what I'm gathering.

Is there a rumor about cabin #13?

I thought that it was something like a guy had a heart attack and died in car 13, and sometimes people can see his ghost riding in it when it was sent empty.

It wouldn't surprise me if they were removing cabins for some kind of maintence work while they're closed for the week. Last year I remember being around Dragster after the park closed on a Sunday and seeing Witch's Wheel cabins being taken somewhere in the back end of some pickup trucks.

PS- Speaking of the number 13, I've heard there have been sightings of boat #13 from White Water Landing. Can't imagine what that's going to be used for. ;)

It looks like the hangers and cable grips were removed from the cabins. They are probably doing rehab work on the cable grips.

Boat 13 is outside of the maint. department.

Go figure. ;)
