Maybe they don't need as many cars for the slower part of the season so they can remove some. Just a guess...

Mark

That is a bit strange, considering that some of the busiest days of the season are still ahead.

Good point. I forgot about Saturdays in October :)

Mark

Here's a thought... Do they have to remove a couple of cabins to be able to get access to that little maintenance cart? Or perhaps they just have some kind of maintenance issue that is more easily addressed from the ground.

^ That was my thought. Do a quick little fixer-up while the parks closed. And its probably easier to work on them outside the station.

Thats sounds feasible, Doug.

<lightbulb>
Have they buried any in the gardens yet? I think they've taken a few off every year and made them look like they fell off.

I would check, but for some reason the cedarpoint web site is not loading for me right now.

u guys are probably right.......

Especially since there's only one of each color set aside, I think it's for the skeletons to sit in when the cars are placed in the gardens.

I always thought they used the old cars for the graveyard?

If I remember right, when the frontier lift closed, those cars were put on skyride and the original skyride cars were gotten rid of. I thought they used these for the graveyard exhibit.

They use Cabin 8 for the graveyard, which is not one of the 39 cabins which has been on the Sky Ride in recent years.

Why they are taking them off is anyones guess. Maybe doing some rehab on them or something.

oh ya!! i remember from last year its supposed to look like they "fell off" wit ppl inside......

I worked the ride in 2004. Of course I know that.

hehe, looking at the images for Halloweekends, the skyride cabin in the graveyard is painted black with a big 13 on the door. So its definitely not one thats used on the ride during the season.

This is Cabin 8. I assume this is what everyone is talking about.

Looks like 13 to me. :)

I worked the ride this season for several weeks and there was a #8 cabin on the line...I remember cause there were violet rockers in it and I had to bitch em out, it was fun

we also only run 38 cabins now not 39 so the one out there is prob cabin 39 *** Edited 9/5/2006 8:30:22 PM UTC by Andrew1***
