History of shipwrecks and storms around Cedar Point?

I hope that was sarcastic, MrScott. It sunk in Whitefish Bay in Lake Superior.

For all the stupidity from Skyhawk Havok (which has earned him a couple days off), this wasn't a bad topic. A bit surprising given the post history, yes, but no reason for you guys to take the thread off course.

There is a book out there called Erie Wrecks. I had it at some point, but it's OOP. They now have an updated East and a West Version.

I remember there being one that wrecked close the the lighthouse on trying to enter the bay.

I have chart showing the general location of all located shipwrecks on the Great Lakes. It appears that a few wrecks occured fairly close to the point. They all are classified as minor wrecks with no lose of life though.

Yup, Gordon Lightfoot. My mom has that song on a record, for the longest time I didn't know that it was real until I saw a special on the History Channel.
