But the complaining started from dj and exit.It just seems like they patrol all threads and ridicule and make fun of people but at the same time have all of the answers.People are entitled to their own opinion but it seems to me this is like a chat room for people like them who is on this site 24-7and can't wait to ridicule others as soon as they make a post.

wow guys I really didnt know my post would start all this madness! Truth be told, I dont have time to read through pages of threads to find out if anyone was talking about a new building that just seemed to appear in the webcam. I basically just check in on Walts page a few times a day because it seems to be the best organized and most entertaining source of CP news/gossip on the web. I will start new posts again but if I was new to posting on message boards (this one aside) I would probably have been scared away from starting any other posts. Im sure thats not what Walt wants or what is best for the site. All that said, I think its funny that not a soul has commented on the actual building or the question I proposed! Anyway its really great watching this thing take shape and always entertaining hearing everyones opinions!

Hey, everyone... Lets move forward and just try to ignore any post that you feel are irrelevant or boring to you personally. It's Friday and we should all look forward to the weekend... I'm sure many of us will be at the Point Sat. and Sun. If you do have a problem with something we ALL have the option to send a personal message to that person. Have a great weekend everyone!

Thanks Bill it certainly will be interesting to see what this building turns out to be. My guess is they're building it early for A) electrical housing or B)track will eventually be over it and it would make it tough to build the building with the overlying track already installed or I guess C) A & B combined.

It's just something that needed to be said for a long time Bill.Everytime a thread is started it gets so far off track it's not worth reading anymore

Anyway, that building is probably for storage or the electrical building.

It may be a building for the air compressors. If the ride is hydrollically launched.

I didn't notice much site prep for electrical and it seems a weird size for storage. Too small to be a shop or restrooms. I was thinking on-ride photo booth.

Bill It seems to be an electrical hut or Hydrulic shed. I'm watching as I Type. Can't wait for them to finish.

Don't mistake my statement to one group of users as a green light for others to start complaining about them. That is equally as annoying. Everyone needs to stay on topic in this and every other thread. Considering the level of traffic this site gets in a given day, and the fact the discussion surrounds a mystery, I'd say we're doing pretty good. Let's stay focused.

The odd thing that I noticed is that there is an opening in the face of the building for what looks like 2 windows. I can understand doors that are entering a "mechanical" type use windows normally wouldnt be part of the program.

Those openings may be for vents. Heavy equipment needs good ventilation and they may install exhaust fans in these areas.

Hydraulic launches use hydraulic oil, not air. Pneumatics use air. Big difference, just so ya know.

Ahhh Vents that makes perfect sense Mechanical equipment does need to be ventilated. I think this is definately a mecahnical building then.

Yes, but hot exhaust rises. It would make more sense for vents to be in the ceiling/roof than at ground level.

I've got to agree with Loopy that these are for conduit to be passed out of the building.

Well, that not entirely accurate.

Hydraulics use gas in a closed system, whereas pneumatics compress outside air and pump it into the system.

In Hydraulics, the H-oil is used to compress a gas (TTD uses Nitrogen) inside the bladder. When a valve is released, the gas expands back to its full volume and forces the oil through the motor.

Pneumatics suck in air and force it into an accumulator. When the valve is opened, the air rushes through a motor to transfer the energy to the cables (in the case of S&S rides.)

So both use "air" just not in the same way.

I was stating the diferences to hydraulics and pneumatics in general. Hydraulics do not use air compressors is what I meant. (I used to design hydraulic systems for my job)

Yes, THAT is true. No air compressors.

(and I still learned something new, you used to design hydraulic systems.)
