Kyle, are you talking about the old river boat that used to be in the lagoon before Iron Dragon?

The paddlewheel boats before the current ones now. Those Disney Jungle Cruise-style boats can't compare to the older vessels.

This is a good article:

The island currently home to Iron Dragon is called “Dragon Island” by seasonal employees.

But, sadly, it's not really an island anymore with the construction of Top Thrill Dragster; more of a peninsula of its own.

What are you talking about? This stuff is great. The most interesting stuff about Cedar Point is it's vast history. Pick up the book Cedar Point: The Queen of American Watering Places. It's an excellent book with knowledge about so much.

CP has more history than almost any other amusement park. In fact, it probably has the most.

It is amazing that a place can be in business after 136 years old and still be at the top of its game.

On a side note, how long will it take for us not to have people spelling Millennium wrong, just remember the double "N" and the rest is easy.

EDIT: I think the warm weather and no school has gotten to my head a little too much. *** Edited 7/17/2006 5:43:38 AM UTC by Gomez***

The most impressive thing, to me, is the fact that Wave Swinger has a mere 4 posts, and has been a member for a very long time.

He's a perfect example of quality over quantity.

Can not agree with you more. There is one person on here that I think loves to watch his post count rise. Some reason 99.5% of his post are one sentence or even one word.

Anyways thanks for the history "wave swinger", really interesting!

Trying to get back on topic...

So where have the old paddlewheel boats gone? I read somewhere about one being restored and being used in the Sandusky Bay, and a while back (about 6 years ago) somone reported seeing a few of them in the Cuyahoga River.
