can someone please tell me the history of this mysterious place. What was its purpose before MF..was it even there?
It has always been there. It was just empty before. I know one section of it holds some old ride from various parks. Also, it make a nice loop for the Padelwheel Excursions. ;)
woww..i wanna see the pictures of the old rides..wait..are you serious?
I don't know if there are any pictures of it. But yes I'm serious. Just next time you're at Cedar Point, take the excrusions and you can see the fence, and through it at times. You can see old blue chairlift seats.
You can see those from the train, they're not on the island.
It's just the old skyride from Dorney Park, it's not some super-secret big deal or anything.

Western Cruise/Paddlewheel Excursions was an awesome ride in its heyday. Drifting thru the lagoon surrounded by a wilderness atmosphere. CP could have built a "Tom Sawyer Island" in the center back then. I miss those old boats too. :(

OH! haha. I honestly thought you were being serious. You should have put the winking smiley face in that post. It kind of represents sarcasm around here.

It also housed the electric plant for quite a while back in the old days. Does the park actually have a name for it? Millennium Island is an enthusiast-given name, not a park name.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
ok..corkscrew and iron dragon arent on islands..are they?
Wow, we have a big history buff on our hands here. That was the most interesting post I've read in a long time. Thank you!
Why don't you post here more often?
