Sandcastle Suites is okay, but I usually only stay there when Lighthouse Point is booked. It's a toss-up between Breakers and Sandcastle. Breakers is close to TGIFridays, the resort entrance, the beach entrance, Soak City, and Challenge Park but it's more crowded and takes longer to check in. Sandcastle is out of the way, which is good and bad. Long walk to get anywhere unless you drive, which I do, or take a shuttle. Seems less crowded though, and check in seems faster. One tip: sleeping on a fold-out bed at Sandcastle is very uncomfortable. I opted to sleep on the floor instead last time (I was staying with family, the beds were taken).

Don't even get me started on Breakwater Cafe. That food is abysmal. I ate there last time and the eggs were cold, everything else lacked flavor. I felt like I was going to gag on it and left it unfinished.

My #1 choice for eating at CP will always be bringing my own and grilling at Lighthouse Point. *** Edited 7/1/2006 2:20:50 PM UTC by Jeremy Sell***

Hi everyone,

I have stayed at the Sandcastle Suites but mostly in the 90's when it was new. A couple years ago we thought we'd try it again. And we were really disappointed. It's dated. And we did not get good service at all. We had to go to the front desk an hour after requesting towels and they were like oh. This was the worst service I have ever got at Cedar Point. My vote is definately for the Breakers Tower. I particularly like the Snoopy rooms.

Next trip next weekend July 7-9. Here we come!

Bring an electric skillet if you are a breakfast person.

I bring a Coleman stove, but the principle is the same. A great way to wake up, that's for sure!
