I was wondering just how busy Father's Day is at the point. I have never been there over that holiday and just wondering if I should expect alot of Familys that day! Thanks for your help in advance.

Will anyone be at the pint on Father's Day?

No. No one comes. The park is not even open.

Hah. What a silly thread. :) Of COURSE people will be at "the point" on Father's Day.

And, to be honest, it's not any busier or slower than any other weekend day.

Hey coaster...looking forward to seeing you on Sunday! I think there should be lots of "family" there that day =)

Isn't father's day the annual unofficial "gay day" at the point?

I may NOT be back a soon as I thought. My brother (who's family I was going with), thinks he broke his foot last night. CP is not a place to go with something like that.

Yes I will be there on father's day. Please lets not start another argument about gay day. Just go to the park and have fun without complaining please. If you have a problem with someone else's freedom to be whom they want to be in this country than don't go.

And Mr. Scott, you have that all backwards. Cedar point is the place to be when you have a broken foot. Rent a wheelchair and walk up the exit ramps. Woohoo!

2008 visits = 38, 2009 = 19, 2010 = 11, 2011 = 14, 2012 = 10, 2013 = 14, 2014 = 14, 2015= 13, 2016 = 11, 2017 = 5, 2018 = 3

Mikey,

No one started an argument about "freedom" or any argument at all. Stop trying to rile people up and quit making something into an issue that doesn't have to be.

^ Yeah, not trying to start anything. Just confirming what I had heard in the past.

Oh, when I said Family, I meant Me (male), My wife (female), and my three daughters (all female). Yes it is the unofficial homosexual / Lesbian / transgender day. but is also the unofficial heterosexual day! so we should all be happy. It is also our 12th Wedding Anniversary. So if anyone would like to meet / gather at a specific time/place, I think it would be awesome to meet some fellow Point Buzzers.

how do you deal with the questions when they see the heterosexual people doing it? Because every other day of the year they are the ones doing it.... In other words NO ONE should be grabbing each other in front of 8 year old children.... *** Edited 6/12/2006 6:32:55 AM UTC by Aaron_toledo***

Agreed.

This thread needs to stop before it gets out of control like the last half dozen have.

I agree, it is a family place everyone should keep there hands to their selfs when in a public place like Cedar Point.... Gay or Straight. No one wants to see that!

I agree that no one should be groping eachother in public, regardless of gender, but what would it teach children if they were only exposed to heterosexual relationships? Wouldn't it only add fuel to the fire and pass on the same intolerance there is now to the future generations? If this is the mindset, then we're not progressing.

Bravo to Matt!! Whoooo!!!

I attended CP on "Gay Day" and not once did I see "any" couple (straight "or" gay) groping and making out...thank God!

I did see several gay couples holding hands and kudos to you! It only takes baby steps such as these to make a statement.
