Back in 1984, there was a 5-year old boy was killed when he fell out of the Cedar Creek Mine Ride. I'll leave the details to someone else.
No other deaths have occurred that were directly attributable to coasters.

I remember hearing about a girl who got her scalp ripped off at the top of Power Power. She lived but had to have extensive plastic surgery. CP denied it, but it was settled out of court for an undisclosed sum.

"There has never been a death at Cedar Point."
Sure there has. But there haven't been any ride related deaths in a long, long time.

The one where the 5 year old boy fell off of the Cedar Creek Mine Ride wasn't a death, it was a serious injury.
The only death I can think of is the 14 year old girl who died after riding the Wildcat.

How about mentioning some TRUE injuries directly relating to coasters. I'm sure that there are some. For some reason, I remember something that might have happened on Magnum??? Probably not because I remember this from when I was like 9 or something. But there has to be more than rumors.

It wasn't it boy that died after riding Wildcat it was a girl. I remember hearing something that she could have died reading a book in bed. There was an incident on Magnum. I belive that a car got stuck on the turn-around. All the passengers in the car got to stay in the Breakers that night and got free admission th next day.

No deaths have ever occured at Cedar Point that was blamed on the ride or the ride op's. I believe the most serious accident was when the Corkscrew chain broke. Just minor scratches.

Stop with the SPECULATIONS and RUMORS.If you all want the truth go to the Woc website at www.worldofcoasters.com and click on coaster accidents. It has every minor and major accident on EVERY theme park from 1970-present.If someone was killed or hurt it will be there.I dont recall ANYONE being killed at CP.

Magnum 1989 is correct according to the "queen of american watering places CP" book..a standing drunken individual was thrown and killed from a coaster in the early 1900's at CP but I was told from a "respected" CP individual that there has not been a "ride related" death at CP other than that..sure theres been heart attacks, strokes, etc and the such but the CCMR rumor was an injury and the PT scalp thing is BS....

I have never heard of a serious injury or death at CP. This post is cracking me up, especially the Demon Drop one. The Blue Streak one is funny too. Think about, have you ever honestly heard of a coaster flying off the track? Is that really possible?

net, it's possible, just VERY VERY unlikely at CP. Maybe at a small movable carnival or something like that where there is a lack of maintinence/preventative maintinence/poor inspection quality.

What about when some guy got his hand stuck between the station and the train on Mean Streak. What happened?
