I saw at least 2 seperate camera crews yesterday being followed around by a suit. We were the first train out on Magnum, but when our train arrived the front car had 4 people in it A guy with a digi-cam taped to his hand filming some narrator?.. And what looked like 2 assisitants behind them.

Later throughout the day they were capturing trains coming back on MF and trains coming into unload.

Also Raptor, Power Tower and shooting a down Dragster. Anyone know what might come of all the film I saw being shot?

It is a film crew for National Geographic. They have been there for the past week. They were filming in High-Def. They told us it should air next summer.

I took some pictures of the filming during the week. I assume they'll be posted on Pointbuzz sometime.

"Cedar Point: The HiDef Experiance"

Yay, we upgraded to digital cable, so we now get the National Geographic channel. I can't wait for this, I wonder if this will be Cedar Point specific, or if it will showcase several parks.

I'm docked in the CP marina and have noticed a lot of filming going on.

Last weekend they had a crane under the Millennium Force first drop doing filming. Thursday they had a trainload of people on Millennium Force for filming also. It looked like they had a "dummy" on the ride for a while. On Friday morning/afternoon they were putting the red trains front seats back into car 1 and 9. Aside from that there have been little "crews" of filmers scattered throughout the park...even at the end of pier 14 shooting into the park.

We were there all weekend, and my girls and their cousin were filmed on the Magnum. Later we saw the group following a group of guys who had just gotten off the MF. All in all, a great weekend.

Jeff. Please, I'm sure we all know filming is "dead". Maybe thats why some people still find they get better results with film in certain situations (namely, me) Filming may be dead to you, but its not to a lot of people.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

Was also there this weekend and saw several different crews... some in white polo's who where obviously together and when I saw them they were filming Cedar Downs... he was filming of all things the speaker box that plays the audio during the ride and then he was filming the gap between the roating carousel base and the platform and that was it. And these guys had a Suit with them... One of the other crews I saw filming Power Tower on 9/18.

This morning I was shocked that they let the German film crew duct tape the camcorder to his hand when they got the ride on Millennium Force with Rich Rodriguez.

The crew for Nat. Geo. was Indigo Films, if I remember right. A majority of the show will be on CP. They did mention Shivering Timbers, Holiday World, and Expedition GeForce in Holiday Park, Germany. Really looking forward to seeing this next year!

The German special is suppose to air sometime at the end of September, from what I was told by the producer. I rode Magnum for them on Friday night and Millennium on Saturday. I am really looking forward to seeing the National Geographic show next summer though! That will be interesting.

^ You do know that by dancing, you basically caused yourself to be skipped over when it comes time to put together the final show, right?

When they do a show, they want to see people acting normal, as if there's no camera there. Anyone who shows off usually doesn't make it.
