Crafts Anyone?

I had no idea that Cedar point even had a craft department, it sounds like fun though, le me know what you get to do.

Yeah, they have blacksmithing, candle making, Pottery (Ceramics), glass and a woodshop (I think). I will be working as a glassblower this summer. I process in on May 20th.

Dont forget about the leather shop attached to Pagoda. That is a custom-craft shop as well, although the people I saw working there last weekend had different uniforms than normal CP Merchandise Dept. employees, so I am not sure if they work for Cedar Point or if that location is "outsourced" like the caricature stands, etc.

My family & I really have enjoyed watching the Glassblowing shows the last few years.

I emailed Tim Boals, head of merch, asking about the Glassblowers a couple of weeks ago. He emailed me back that there will be three new Glassblowers, & that the shows will start Memorial Day weekend.

I look foreward to watching your exhibitions of Glassblowing. I'll be the big guy asking you to make a plate.

i knew a couple of people who worked for the crafts department and they said it was ok.

How did you get into crafts? What kind of experience do you have with glass blowing? It sounds like fun. I was one of the top students in my art classes in high school.

I sent you a PM as well, but I go to a private art college in Det. called College for Creative Studies. My major is glass. I have been blowing glass for 2 years.

The pagoda,Fort Sandusky and the woodshop are run by non cedarpoint people.they are employed by a company out of florida.
