Great! I am really wanting to go to GL this summer and my brother wanted to make a trip around his birthday, June 6th, so this will be an early birthday present.

This is awesome. I planned on attending GL for the first time this year, and since I will be attending CoasterMania, BeastBuzz, and CoasterCon this should fit right in.

One question though that I havn't yet found the answer to looking through threads. With my CoasterBuzz membership, and my Cedar Point season pass w/ GL addon will I be able to get into CoasterEXT/CoasterMania/CoasterCon/Timberfest (if there is one) for free? Or will I have to pay the reduced price for a ticket?

Thanks.

I was wondering the same thing. I have to assume that it's just like Coastermania, but I guess we'll have to ask.

Timbersfest is only $10 for those with season passes as long as they do it early, but only $15 at the event.

This event is not free with a season pass. The event is $8.95 if you have a Geauga Lake eligible pass (CP with GL endorsement or other Cedar Fair pass).

Sort of off the topic but does anyone know if a Knott's season pass will get you into both Cedar Point and Geauga Lake?

Yes it will.

Only with the Cedar Point (and Geauga Lake) passes do you need to get a separate "endorsement" to use them at the other park. I don't know all the reasons for it but I know that one was proximity.

Awesome, thanks for the info. So the only events I will have to pay at will be CoasterEXT & Timberfest? CoasterCon & CoasterMania will be free for me? Right?

I don't know about CoasterCon (that's an ACE event), but Coastermania is free if you have a Cedar Fair season pass (GL pass only with endorsement) and any club membership.

Hmm, I think I got the two mixed up, CoasterCon & CoasterBuzzCon are two different things? Whoops, I guess my question is, is the one @ Dorney (CoasterBuzzCon) free with a CF season pass?

According to http://www.coasterbuzz.com/pdf/dorney2005.pdf, the cost for a season pass holder is $11 which is quite reasonable considering it includes a meal.

What he said. And notice that there's no on-site registration for the Dorney event, so if you're planning to go, please don't wait to register!

We rode Beaver Land Mine Ride without kids when it was as SF park. Did we get lucky or have they since changed the rules?

They have NOT changed the rules. Anyone may ride anytime. They made a mistake in promoting that.

do you have to be a member of anything to attend CoasterEXT? And if you have a Geauga Lake season pass it CoasterEXT costs $8.95?

You want ERT just come at night on a weekday in May. You'll get all of the rides you can handle. But seriously, sounds like a great plan to get people to make Coastermania a multiple day event.
