Anyone in FOODS?

Seems like everyone here is in rides.. But I'm interested in talking to people that have worked in or will work in foods. I'm going to be a server at the saloon, and want to know what the tips are like, the hours.. etc. Please let me know what you know!

My roomate last year worked at Red Garter and she made alot of money and was pretty happy with it. She might be coming back this year but Im not sure. I know that she liked it though.

This will actually be my first year workin IN the park and IN foods..the past 2 years i worked there i worked at Breakers Express out of the park so ill be new to the Foods stuff too..im told ill be at Gazebo too so im guessin it shall be fun, and if not, ill MAKE it fun :)

I worked as a server and then as a supervisor in the Last Chance Saloon last summer. The beginning of the summer the tips are a little slow but it would be very typical for a server to take home between $150-$200 during the peak season. That's running your ass off for about an 8-10 hour day. It's definitely more cash than working in rides and the hours are much better. The saloon's can't begin serving alcohol until 11am, so there's no crazy 8am shifts like some of the rides people. Also the saloon generally closes an hour before the park, and servers could be gone as early as two hours before the park closes.

Be prepared to enjoy cheesey American or 60's music over and over and over again.

hey I am working at the Ice Cream Parlor(ICP) in the front of the park. Foods is really fun but it takes a lot longer clean up then other jobs. But other than te clean up working in foods is really fun.

i worked in foods the last 3 seasons it was fun and the hours are not that bad this season im doing park services just to do something different .i worked at cjs last year and i know the garter people liked it.
