Assume a couple new major flats were to be constructed in the Kiddy Kingdom area. I say relocate Wildcat to the Kiddie Kingdom area and place the one or both of the flats across from Iron Dragon. Also, tear down that awful looking screen while they're at it. ;)

The screen would be better if it was somewhere else.

They should put the screen up on the side of DT where it says 12E....it will attract even more attention to the Oceanic Midway.

That's a pretty darn good idea, RACE4THESKY. If you think about it, there could be plenty of room there if they put it so ppl sat alongside of Wicked Twister and the screen was right at the end of DT's building. But maybe the ferris wheel lights would cause some problems. Definately keep the screen, though, it is fun for the whole family.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

Have you ever seen how many people watch the Summer Spactacular? Where else do you have that much space to set up all the lasers, speakers, pyrotechnics, and still have room to pack thousands of people in there safely?

Giant Wheel would not be operating during the show, as it closed when located behind the train station prior to the 2000 season.

If the screen is relocated, move it to the front gate. Then if anyone would like to see the show, they can sit in their cars like a drive-in theater! ;)

How about leaving the screen where it is? Sure it is big, but it doesn't give CP much problems.

good call on leaving it where it is. Putting it on the Disaster/WT midway exposes it to increased wind damage (the ride behind it wouldn't provide much shelter on that side of the peninsula as wind direction changes often... as we found out when we tried to fill the area with fog for CarnEVIL this year). Let's not meddle in the affairs of dragons. :-)

Also, given that Lee's signature says that (s)he has worked for the park for at least 3 years now, I imagine (s)he plans to return the next. CP execs love finding proprietary information on here (not!) and I doubt that'd look good for re-hire status. *** Edited 11/8/2004 11:13:37 PM UTC by techie2001***

The accountants won't let the screen be moved. When thousands of people are in the center (or close to it) of the park, they can't help but pass a number of shops (Pagoda, etc) games and eateries on their way out (especially on days where Spectacular is at closing). Impulse buying- how many sales would be lost if weary guests (families) had to double back into the park after a long day to go to a store?

If they dont move it, they should do what Hersheypark does to the one in front of Lightning Racer, roll it up during the day!

I don't care what anyone says about the screen. It has made the former Million Dollar Midway ugly for the past 8 years. I can still remember visiting the park in 1995 and observed the screen and thinking how stupid it looked. For most of you, it's not so much about cosmetic reasons, but my cons about the screen remain strong.

Now, back to the discussion about a new attraction. I am eager to see what CP has in store for the 2005 season, still hoping for some new flats.

To throw another aspect to this issue. In watching the Cleveland.com Cedar Point Cam for a few seconds this morning...it seems there is something just off camera that looks white and metal...it could be nothing...and also i saw 2 larger dumptrucks going in the direction of Kiddy Kingdom...take this as whatever you want...and flame me if you wish...I'm not making any conclusions other than the obvious fact that it's going to be a 306 foot B&M floorless with 8 inversions with a orange and green color scheme called the Falcon ;-) (let the off-season celebration commence!)

Call me a broken record. I'm still hoping for a PKI Delerium clone. Save the coaster for the 2006 season.

Yeah, as much as I like coasters, give it a break. Like 16 isn't good enough? I'd rather see a couple new flat rides.

About the screen. I was a first timer in 2003 and thought it was ugly and needed to be moved and I still feel the same way. It needs to be in a part of the park Where it dosent take away from the setting.
