I was reading the business section of the Toledoblade and there was a mentioning of an announcement due at the end of the year regarding a new attraction.
Of course it is mentioned in an article about the price increase of $1.00 for next year.
Interesting article to read and a nice insight into what will increase admission prices.
I am not sure how to link an article here so if anyone cares to please do.Others might be interested to read it(computer illerate here:))
Well have a great day all and enjoy the off season.
P.S dragsters trains are in the process of removal now.Still would love to see a few pics of the trains stripped down for winter maintenance. *** Edited 11/5/2004 4:33:36 PM UTC by causewaycruiser*** *** Edited 11/6/2004 11:24:32 AM UTC by causewaycruiser***
Umm, they do that every year. It's called the offseason.
Looks like Cedar Point is pulling another mystery attraction thing on us. First it was the 2003 attraction, mystery attraction, Area 51, #16, or codename: Dragster. The so called 2005 attraction better be good.

Rick Munarriz, a stock analyst for the Motley Fool, an online investment analysis service, said announcing ticket prices now for 2005 probably means the company isn't planning to build a large new attraction like the Millennium Force or the Top Thrill Dragster, each of which cost $25 million.
(from the article, here)
I wouldn't expect anything earth shattering. If it was a coaster, I think we would have seen some track by now. Perhaps a new flat ride or maybe some indoor attraction.

The flat ride theory would go along with some of the rumors I heard earlier in the summer around Park Op. I won't elaborate, basically because (a) they were rumors, although rather credible, and (b) I don't remember all the details, and wouldn't be allowed to share them even if I did.
It's nice to know there will be something cool to look forward to for next season, though. There are some insane flat rides out there.

Lee, Since you no longer work for them your contract is terminated correct? And if your contract is terminated you are no longer bound by it's terms. In other words while you may feel it would not be ethical to dislcose what may be information that Cedar Fair is trying to keep secret, it is not illegal.
Now if you wanted to go back and work a few more weekends ect, giving up the secret would not be a very good idea. I do not think that Dick Kinzel has much of a sense of humor when it comes to disclosure.
