Stay in the park? As in Hotel Breakers or Sandcastle Suits? Or just spend your money in the park. You have to remember some people can't afford that stuff. It's not like your going to spend a bunch of time in there anyway. *** Edited 8/23/2004 10:37:11 PM UTC by crashoverride***

Breakers Express is a great hotel. VERY nice rooms for how much you pay each night. They do only have an outdoor pool, but who needs a pool when you got Cedar Point a couple minutes away!

If you can't afford to stay on Point, BE is the best alternative. Nice!

Everyone has their own opinion and my opinion is the place is a dump. It's not worth $90+ a night. If you're going to spend $ on a CP resort than why not spend it on a nicer place that's more convenient. crashoverride have you stayed at Lighthouse Point or any other resort on property? There is a definite difference.

DeamonDroppin: I've never stayed there because we can't afford it.

It depends when you go. You don't always have a $90.00+ rate. And some people get an AAA discount or other discounts with your local Insurance provider. Or even going on one of those hotels.com websites or somthing could get you a better price. All I'm saying it's better then the Dusk to Dawn or the Howard Johnson.

Seriously. Not EVERYONE has lots and lots of money to just throw away. I've stayed at Hotel Breaks, but Breakers Express is the cheapest place to stay (that is close) when you visit CP.

There's nothing wrong with the hotels in Milian and on US 6 and US 250.

I've only stayed there twice. Both times we drove from Breakers Express to Cedar Point. It's like a 5 minute drive. Here's some more information on it.

Breakers Express is good hotel, the only downfall to it is that you have to drive back and forth to the park, there is no shuttle.

You can't beat just walking a few minutes from the exit over by magnum, right into your room. I'll never stay anywhere else, Hotel Breakers for me. Of course, i never get the expensive rooms unless we go with a big group so the cost is divided up. Good Times!

When you visit CP, visit my Mill, est. 1835

When I go up there with my family, we usually stay at Hotel Breakers, just because we hate taking drives back and forth between places.

We like the Breakers Express. It is clean, has large beds, hair dryers in the room, nice amenities for a decent rate in Sandusky in high summer. Although we have Joe Cool passes, the early-entrance is a plus for those who do not. Breakfast is not free, but you can work around that with a cooler. My advice? Stay at BE, leave early, and park in the Soak City lot. That extra 1/2 hour at CP in the morning, coupled with the 5 minute drive, in my opinion, far over-rides the savings of maybe $5 - $10 at other hotels, farther away. Also, if you are staying over, that 5 minute (well, 10 minutes if traffic is heavy) back to the room is very sweet after a long day!

They would only go up if they renovated them to make them worth the price.
