summertime

Can you work only from about the end of May to around the end of August? The reason I ask is because I live in Michigan and am in high school thinking about working at CP during the summer of 06'

Yes you can - three months is the usual amount of time most employees work, since they are in college. Make sure you apply early when you do, and you shouldn't have a problem. End of May to mid-August is what most employees are contracted for, and if you apply too late you might get passed over for someone with a longer availability. But you have a couple years to go before you worry about it, anyway :)

Actually, you can begin work from the last weekend of April/first week of May up until the last weekend of October. Best thing to do is check the website when they post their 2004 season operating hours are posted. Good luck!
