Constrution at Vertigo site

I was at Cedar Point on Friday and noticed some activity at the old Vertigo site. Nothing major, but they have placed a white fence in the area and they seem to be making some holes as well.

Maybe some new type of pay ride... or maybe some tables. I can't say for sure. Just thought you would be interested.

Don't have a clue on this one, but I'll take a look either tonight or tomorrow...my initial guess is a new pay-to-ride attraction.

There was one long rectangle in the center of the fence and the fence itself has the look that its going to stick around. Holes for it have been drilled and they have supports up (while the fence is set, I guess).

Also... it seemed they were refilling in the vertigo holes.

This is interesting, but I'll have to see it for myself before I speculate anything. I noticed on Thursday that they have been patching some concrete at various places in the park, so it might be nothing more than that.

It was a pay-per-ride attraction in Challenge Park, or right next to the Go-Karts. It's a cousin to Ripcord, kind of. Vertigo had three large towers, and each had a bungee cord attached to it. You'd sit in this car and get sling up 300 feet. Here:

if they are going to stay with the same basic structure of the one from before, then maybe they will incorperate some flipping action to make it more fun, like slingshot. and i don't think they would have a restaurant in the very back of the park where not too many people are.

This was an inside joke back before we knew what TTD was. One speculation was that it was going to be the "worlds largest/tallest revolving restaurant." (Being a joke of course)

No, there was never speculation that it was going to be a food joint. It was a smart ass comment that somebody (Jeff?) made and people took seriously because they have no sense of humor and believe everything they read on the internet.

I doubt many people will "jump" for joy when it's announced, that's for sure. Don't expect anything NEAR the height of VertiGo.
