They either rolled it back, or it launched. The train was in the launch position in one pic, and gone the next :) This could be a good sign.

So... I am confused. Did they try to launch it and it failed. Or was rollercoast03 wrong? And why was everyone gathered around if they weren't testing?

Yesterday, the third, they launched one train at around 10:30. By the time I looked at the tower, it was rolling back still about 3/4 of the way up the tower. My best guess would be that they were just testing the launch, not at full power. Did anyone see any other testing?

I just got back from there. As far as I saw, they were just pushing the train (purple one) around in the launch area. I was amongst that crowd of people for about an hour. I got right up by the launch station. The brake fins were popping up and down, and the train was moving back and forth. But, I didn't see a launch. This is not to say that one didn't happen, though. Vince, and I decided to get a few night flights in.

It finally launched around 10:30pm or so and got almost to the top and rolled back. Hopefully it'll be up and running tomorrow.

I've was just looking at the webcams, and I am very sure that one of the trains has made a complete circuit.

You can see some mechanics in the station now and on the Power Tower cam you can see the "Arms down, head back" sign glowing, and then go off.

Maybe I'm just tired and it's a figment of my imagination, but hopefully it's really doing this!

Edit: Also, I think you can see the speedometer lit up past the grandstands. It's a small, orange light, and it's in the same vicinity as the speedometer. It's on in the shot whenever there isn't a train in the station. Could somebody help confirm this to be true?

Wow, I really think they will have it open tomorrow unless they encounter even more problems.

Edit: by the way, there is a great picture of the lights in operation on this site:
