Testing??

On the webcams, it appears that they have put more trains on the track. From what I can see there is 2 in the station and 1 in the launching position. With the addition to two more seats in the back, the trains seem longer. I'm just wondering that they will probably start test running this thing within a day or two before July 4th weekend!!!!
It reminds me of the off season when they were first starting to test, its like Off Season 2003 all over again.

It actually looks as if they may be testing tonight. You can see the monitors turned on in the control booth on the station cam.. Maybe they are gonna pull this off... lets all hope.

Hey Everyone!

I was at the park today and they did, indeed, move 2 of the trains onto the track, filled with water dummies. As of 9:45 when I left, they had not launched a train. There were people working on TTD all day today, and, from all the park officials I talked with today, they are MORE than optomistic about the ride being up on Friday!

Looking at the webcams right now, the trains have been pulled off the track! I don't get it? Maybe what CP is doing is taking the trains of the tracks in the morning and in the middle of the day they put trains on the track for testing at night time?
or maybe their testing! [cough cough]
Jaydubs - I was there last night at about 8:30. All 6 trains had 4 cars with 4 seats and 1 car with 2 seats. What "additional car" are you talking about? And did you really expect the park officials to tell you anything different?
Hey jdubya!

When talking to park officials, I do, indeed, expect a standard statement from them in regards to Dragster, however I do have a few friends in the park who are silver tags, and they were personally optomistic about riding it this weekend. I didn't just walk up to random silver tags on the midway.

Have a great day!

You must have been pretty tired at the park, too, because all the trains DO have the extra row of seats.

Check out these pictures, compliments of tambo from the "Pictures of seats..." topic.

I was at the park last night too and thought that testing was a possibility due to the dummies being in the seats but nothing ever happened.

On another note, everyone should ride PWE just to hear the jokes the guides make about TTD, it's pretty funny. "This is what we all like to call CP's 25 million dollar coat hanger", "Here is MF, CP's tallest and fastest working coaster!"

I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else, so I figured I'd put it here. There is a story in the Plain Dealer about TTD's reopening.

I was at the park today and noticed that besides all the kicker wheels in the station being off, the whole red cover that covered the whole assembly was off. There were a few guys in the transfer track area.

The Red covers need to be taken off in order to take the kicker wheels off. I Wonder why they needed to take them off again after putting the back on. Anyway, My hopes are fading slowly that TTD might open by this weekend. There is no sign of life and the trains are back on the transfers.

Oh no, they are comparing Cedar Point to Six Flags...the world is ending.

Ohio State, here I come!

Activity has certainly picked up in the Dragster area. Lots of people walking around and the grandstands look full of people. Something's going on.

they probably are testing since they plan on opening it tomorrow
I thought that article was hilarious. They just named 3 SFMM coasters that opened late, when we've got this ride that's been down for two weeks!
