hey,

um im gonna be new to cp this summer and im wondering when i get there in middle may after college lets out will i be treated like everyone else or will i have to kinda push my way in "friendship" wise? Just asking

thanks ive never really lived away from home before except for like a week and im just kinda scared i feel like such a dork but my friends here say they will come see me all the time. yeah right. but yeah im just nervous thats all...

Don't worry about it. I know how you feel. I felt the same way when I first went off to college.

Jodi, don't worry! I came after college let out last time, in mid-May, and I made lots of awesome friends in no time! A lot of people come to Cedar Point all alone, without their friends, so everyone is looking to meet new people.

Hi Jodi, welcome to the Point :) Trust me, you don't have to worry at all about making friends. Keep in mind that there will be many new folks just like yourself who are equally anxious about meeting people and making friends.

It is much harder to not make friends that it is to make friends. You are constantly around and meeting new people, whether in your dorm/apartment, at work, or around town. All you have to do is be friendly and open, and you won't have a problem at all. CP seems to be a lot like high school, especially your first year, since you are moving to this completely new world, but before you even know it you will have created a niche for yourself and be having the time of your life.

Dont worry at all about making friends. if you are an outgoing person youll make plenty of them just by coming to work at CP. It is definately an experience, and i didnt know how much i missed it after my first summer there in 99, until i came back in 02. now im hooked and looking forward to this summer more than ever. good luck and enjoy the summer
