I know this will sound kinda stupid but I would love to see an enclosed B&M Flyer.

How about a launched B&M flyer. It would be the first of its kind and would be quite a rush.

How about a classic Jumbo Jet ride?

Disaster Transport is good for one thing in my opinion, air conditioning.

well it outta be a flyer, floorless, or boomerang,
but boomerangs kinda suck, all so similar. But WT i kinda like a boomerang, so nevermind. but how about a dual interlocking one, like dualing dragons, but part flyer, part floorles, that would technically be 2 coaster, offering different experinces

The straight peices of track are the block brakes. It didn't valley, it just stopped at the brake.

Florida may have Disneyworld and Key West,
but Ohio has Cedar Point and Put-In-Bay.

you have to realize that along with DT being an eyesore, slow, stupid, boring and whatever else you call it. It is a very unique coaster. There are very few bobsled coasters still operating.

I think all that DT needs is some fine tuning.........
-Bring back some of the old scenery that was in the queue(SP?) line...remember that annoying robot
-Give the outside of the building a new paintjob or totally diffrent look.....it wont be such an eyesore then
-Get some more intresting scenery during the ride. Example: improove the Alaskin scene at the end

I say leave the ride standing besides without Dt(and Mien ride,TTD) Cedar Point would have absolutely no themeing
at all.
The ride also brings back lots of childhood memories.: )
------------------
Does it stop at 420 feet in the air.......?¿?
No you still have to spiral down

i don't see why it was Stopped on the "block brakes" for over an hour? i don't remeber any kind of brakes on Avalanche Run during the circuit b4 the end of the ride.

DT is good because it has air conditioning and is a good break from the heat.

There are two brakes during the circuit. I remember riding Avalanche Run and being bummed because by the time the thing was picking up speed it hit a flat, slow spot ...twice... and then hit the final brakes! LOL

Sorry to bring up another question but no reason to post another topic:
Compared to other bobsled coasters, is DT a intense coaster? I have never rode any other bobsled coaster so I can not compare it to anything else.

It is the only dark ride currently at CP. It's sad the Pirate Ride had to go. Now all we have left is Disaster Transport

Is DT still space themed? I went on it last year early in the season, and it was painted bright neon colors and they gave you 3-D glasses ($1 wasted.....). It seemed like they changed from it's semi-cool space themeing into one of those cheap roadside Haunted houses(the emperors tomb or whatever haunted house they had in it during Halloweekends is a good example j/k). I might not have seen it, but did they still have the space themeing up? thanks.

Mike, Disaster Transport is no longer a themed ride anymore, in my opinion. I think Disaster Transport is Cedar Point's attempt at a space theme, but they have failed miserably. After much thought, I've decided I'd like to see it go. It's hopeless at this point.
