Screamin' Serpent

For brakes, it stops really fast. You make a platform for the 2 gears to intermesh. Attach the gears to the rods with the little brown connectors that lock the gear to the rod. Make sure that the gears are lined up so they spin in OPPOSITE direction. then make break arms that attach to the rods holding the gears so that whaen the gears spin the rod, the break arms move toward the track to clamp the train.

It took me a while to figure out.

That's pretty interesting. Do the break arms go down though and let the train pass through?

I half-a**ed mine. I did a 90 degree turn on each side. Works like a charm.

And about the rubber band:

If you can find an area underneath the launch side, tie a knot there, and LIGHTLY hook the other end to the lift hill hook on the bottom of the front car. Pull back and let go.

TTD2003, Screamin' Serpent is a K'nex set, if you haven't already found out from TTD's pics.

I just have to ask an OT question here. Why is it that whenever a park announces a new coaster or ride, a select few members feel the need to abandon their old screen names and name themselves after that ride? What's worse is that when other people discover that the screen name they want is taken, they tack on a stat onto the end, seemingly making it all better. When in reality all it does is confuse and annoy the hell out of the people who are trying to follow along with the conversation because there are multiple people with very similar screen names conversing with people. For the love of God we have 3 Top Thrill Dragsters and an abbreviated version in this thread alone!

Sorry for ranting, but I don't think I'm the only one irked by this.

What is most anticipated event of 2003? the debut of Dragster, the release of Metallica's new album, the release of Terminator 3, or the release of Matrix:Reloaded...tough call.

Word, brotha.

And what's worse is that it seems like they ALL want to show off their new screen names. Not cool.

This is a good example of why we should all use our real names on message boards. I doubt that my name will ever be confused with another...

Top Thrill Dragster 120, could you please put some pictures of your breaking system up so that I can get a better sense of what to do.

lol. I don't even remember. I think it was something my dad was watching. I know in this picture ( http://community.webshots.com/photo/62417790/62418716vijxvF ) Ozzy is on the TV so it must've been some show (other than the ozbournes) that had Ozzy on it.

Sorry people I dont have a scanner or digital camera to put up pictures. But its actully simple to make the breaks, just fool around for a while until you get it.

I could draw the break system on Paint and put it on, but I dont know how to get it on the site.

You guys that have said something like 7 ft tall. Is that with one set?
+0

Top Thrill Dragster

Mine is with one set. But it's more like 6 feet with a 4 foot launch/brake run.

TTD120, I think the simplest way to get it on the site is make it your personal photo, and we could copy it into Microsoft Word or something to enlarge, then maybe someone could get it up on a site.

Maybe it was that new Pepsi commercial. "You're a bunch of bloody magicians!"

Ok, last night I tore down the set and started a new one. RllrCstrDude187, those pictures helped a lot. The tower is going to be quite different from the real thing because of my limit on pieces. It should still be pretty good though.

Won't happen... All personal photos are pre-approved, and unless you're standing next to it, the photo won't be approved.

Millennium Rider, why wouldn't the photo be approved?

Because you have to be in your personal photo not a K'Nex roller coaster. Unless you are standing next to it then it would be approved.
