Screamin' Serpent

I built a new one today, and it looks awesome.
Its about 7 feet tall, and I got the 270 degree twist to work great. My breaks stop it way to fast for this size. I built A station too.
Top Thrill Dragseter120, if you want to put them on a site, email them to me, and I can put them on mine.

Just a general statement, but you can use magnets if you arrange them in the right way.
By that I mean to make brakes.
Actually, K'nex has announced the release of The Rippin' Rocket coaster. This will include launch systems and is around $120, but I will definately pick one up.
I'm sure you could use magnets, but that would be really hard.

Since this topic stopped being popular, I tried the drill idea for the launch. Didn't quite work. Since the launch run was pretty short, I tried to have the chain pull the train until it was completely vertical. Didn't work. After that one, I decided to scratch the whole idea altogether.

I've been working on a model coaster and i was planning on using magnets for the brakes to see if it works. I'm not sure how many magnets it will take tho. I don't have that many at home and i don't know where i can go to buy some.

If you know where you can get a replacement sealing magnet for a refridgerator you'd be all set. You could cut it to fit between all the ribs. Might require some experimentation, but it'd be something ou could use over. You could change the proximity to suit the application, too.

Where'd you find that out at?

It's on the K'nex website:
