Imminent announcement?

Take this for what it is worth...

On the Gemini side of the Big Grey Box four or five steel poles...they look like old fence posts, each about 7' tall...have been set into hastily-poured concrete in the mulch bed.

My guess, of course, is that they are planning to hang a sign off of these poles. Of course, they can't hang a sign until they get the ride announced, and it would be rather pointless to post a sign once the park is closed for the seasonn, so...

If this is for a sign, and it sounds like it is, I think we could see an announcement this week. I hope so, anyway.

I'm guessing you're talking about the poles immediately next to the Camp Snoopy/Paddlewheel Excursions sign. I could swear that these were the posts that held the "Six Flags over Camp Snoopy" banners, as seen in the background here.

Hmmm...Well, maybe they are. I thought the flagpoles were further apart, though (these are spaced about 3' apart and are right up against the wall). They look new to me, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Also there are railings up directly in front of these poles. Hmmmmm...

It looked to me that the railings were there to keep guests from walking on the broken concrete right there at the corner, at least it was broken on Saturday.

There is no sign yet, just the skeleton for an alleged sign.

...which may in fact turn out to be nothing more than the bases for flagpoles that have been there all season long.

I saw those too and was thinking the same thing. However I think if they were to place a sign they would put it facing a way peeps would see on their way towards the back of the park in a more visible area.

You know, I do think that there is a point that CP needs to announce this ride. If they let the suspense build too long, people will begin to lose intrest. I think that they realize this, and I do think that it will come soon. In the mean time, i am dying to know what this will be. I just hope that they don't announce it a little bit at a time. Like the speed one week and the height another, I have gone through that before.

I'll have to check it out next sunday.

I hope there's an announcement soon. I can't wait. If not soon than I'm hoping maybe it'll be at the ACE x-mas party in sandusky.

I saw those posts, but I honestly don't think they mean anything. Besides, we can pretty much say that this ride will be huge due to the size of the crane...

I dont think that CP would hang a sign on those posts, unless someone has stumbled across more posts on the other side of Area 51. Id assume that CP would put up a huge sign in a more obvious area. Somewhere like right on the wall so you can see it right as you walk in the gates from Challenge Park. But who knows, they might put up like 4-5 signs all over the construction area *rollseyes*....I also saw those posts when I was there firday and i think they were just for those Camp Snoopy flags, they may have taken down the flags because they were fringing a lot and looked to be falling apart pretty bad. just my 2cents tho.

I doubt the ride will be announced this month. I bet it will be after Thanksgiving, in time for the Christmas season pass gift buying season.
