Thank you for your interest in Cedar Point.

Chaos and Troika will be relocated for next season and Paddlewheel Excursion will be revamped for next season.

That's basicly what was said in the announcement of the Golden Ticket Awards on Cedar Fair's site...all but the closure of Chaos, Troika, and PWE. That was to be expected, but at least we know for a fact that PWE is staying.

Who knows, perhaps if there is low clearance on the track when it goes over the lagoon.

Well, at least we know we aren't losing any rides. I'm glad the three are staying.

Very cool. I was worried about PWE. We love it... I'm not crazy about whirl and hurl rides, but I'm glad they are being relocated....That means get your pictures while they last in their current location....Historical photo's are always good to have....

I think it was assumed Troika and Chaos were moving. PWE wasn't very clear. Glad it's staying. It's a great way to wind down.

"Paddlewheel Excursion will be revamped for next season."

Paddlewheel would make an excellent Jurrassic Park-type ride, even though I'd hate to see the original animation go...maybe they could put that classic stuff along the train track.

They already have things on the train track. It's called Boneville.

Speaking of official:

If this ride does indeed surpass the four hundred foot plateau, I wonder how Cedar Point's website will fit it into the skyline picture on the top of the window.

Simple things keep me awake at night.

I remember somebody posted a picture of what the skyline might look like. It was pretty weird looking to me, considering the fact that one of the overbanks was higher than MF. I'm not sure if that was here or at Coasterbuzz.

I think I know what you're talking about PP89. Someone on CoasterBuzz posted the edited image. It was a giant red top hat against the skyline. IMO it sticks out on the CP skyline like a sore thumb, but 1) that's what they're going for and 2) the picture was just one person's guesstimate.

Yeah, well, that picture was grossly unrealistic. Assuming the top hat (or whatever the highest point is) is located in area 51, then proportionally that picture had the top hat at around 600 ft, with two 400ft overbanks located on top of Mantis and corkscrew. It was a nice attempt, but not at all close to the actual skyline.

Link to this picture? I tried to find it with no luck.

Or maybe just a thread name and page?

Thats really big, and it changes the skyline a lot, but we did say the same thing about MF.
