...Going to the local eateries after close to get some chow...
...You wish you could ride coasters in the wintertime...
...You miss the sights, smells, and sounds of the midways as you are either in class, working, or driving/walking/bussing round your town...

Then again, those are the hippest fashion statement there :)
....when you notice that your family has lots of pictures of your family in the summer; but, you are not in any of them.
....when after five summers at CP you have finally gotten a real job and have a Saturday off in the Summer and you have totally forgotten what to do!

I don't want to sound like I'm being hostile, but I think that working at CP certainly does qualify as a *real* job. Of course, working in the Cedar Point Sensory Deprivation Tank is not the same as a regular 9-5-weekends off gig, but I don't think that takes away from it being real.
Someone who works a 9-5 job would average about 1920 hours a year (not taking Holidays into account). A CP employee would average about the same amount in 7 months (because I am not talking about college students who come for three months to pay for school, I mean folks like myself who are there all season long). I like working steady for half of a year and then having the other half to do as I please, which is plausible if you save your money and keep yourself away from the mall. You don't get rich of course, but since I have no one to provide for except myself, it works out fine.
I don't mean to jump down your throat or anything, I swear! I've just got a bit of a bug under my skin because it seems so many people, particularly my family, don't view working at the Point as an actual job, but rather just a state of temporary insanity. (Well...j/k). I think for people who make CP their real job, then it is just as real as any office job.
I probably wouldn't know what to do with a Saturday in the summer off, either. Wednesday were my Saturdays :)

Since I know I already went way off-topic with my posts, I'll take this opprotunity to add -
You know you're a Cedar Point employee when you make five-hundred dollars a week but you're always broke by Sunday.

I have, I think on two different occassions. This involved a straight week of O-C's, of course. (With no day off)

Matt that completely cracked me up!! It's good that you have a sense of humor about it :)

"Am I still in Cedar Point?"
* A group of friends and yourself plan a road trip to work there the next season...
* You are humming the midway music when you are cooking, cleaning, or showering...
* You look at pictures from the past season and it brings tears to your eyes or memories like "I was there."...
* You want to go to Meijer or other local establishments that are not close (we don't have any in West Virginia :( but someday we will, :))
* 5 hours of sleep will do just fine! :)
* Coffee becomes your best friend...
* You wear your "Smurf (Blue) Suit" around town or campus
There's more but I will open the floor for others to share...can't hog the spotlight now ;-)

I still have those urges to do that to this day, especially when I go rent a car, ;)
Here are a couple more I thought of...
* you fear getting asked the dreaded question... "When is the 10:00pm Laser Light Show?"
* you're stuck in traffic for more than 45 minutes and either at a standstill or moving at a casual crawl and you know its all the fabulous people going to Cedar Point in front of you. :)
* you have your license plate on your vehicle associated with Cedar Point in some way :):)
More to come, this topic is awesome :):):)

I am not sure if anybody would survive through that schedule ;) Then again, you're right MagnumJames, that would be a nice bonus check, just in time for Christmas too! :)
