If they were hurt because of something you did wrong, you could be fired but I don't think they can sue you personally for it. Besides I think they'd get a little more cash from CP than from a ride host. ;) Accidents like that don't happen very often when you take into account how many guests come to the park each year, but those times they do happen I've never heard of an employee being sued or held responsible. Just do what they tell you to do and you'll be A-OK! :)

As long as you follow the policies and procedures set forth by CP and Challange Park, AND DON'T DEVIATE FROM THEM!, then you cannot be held responsible. If you follow the policies and procedures and someone does get hurt, It's on CP's head
Well thats good to know....I wouldnt want to deviate from anything on ripcorD!

Just don't screw up and you should be fine
Just do your job correctly and you'll have no problems :)

At Rip Cord (or at least at the other Skycoaster I worked at... and they're all basically the same) there's always someone else to check your work before the people fly. So unless everyone is completely in outer space all at once, mistakes get caught right away! It's easy. =)

More than one person in outer space working at CP... nah.... never... ;)

Getting off of a train with nobody there to pick you up in the middle of the ghetto really sucks

From what I saw last summer, there's really no way to mess up on ripcord. the harness riggings are simple and one host fastens then the other one double checks.

I am currently training at a Ripcord at one of CP's sister parks...I was really scared at first and I made lots of mistakes when I was first learning how to hook up all the hardware to the flyers. I had someone watching over me that corrected all of my mistakes and after a month, I am really comfortable with it. There isn't any mistakes that I haven't already made I don't think. Like everyone else said, there's two people up on the flight crew so it takes the mistake to go through two people. Plus, there are built in steps while hooking people up that you are double checking what you just hooked up.
