Year-Long Employment 2012

Hi guys, im wanting to apply to work at Cedar Point for the 2012 season. I realize that I can already apply for a summer job, but Im wanting to work for the entire season (may through november), and the positions for year round jobs have not opened up on the website.
Am I supposed to apply on the website just through the summer jobs section, even though I clearly definetly want to be working for the entire of the 2012 season?
I really dont want to be waiting to apply, because im afraid this will hurt my chance of getting in.
Has anyone who applied for a year round job had the same issue?
I check the website all the time and it says there are no open positions yet for year round positions and jobs will be listed when they are available.
Does it usually say this every year?
Sorry for all the questions, but I really dont want to miss out on this chance, and I've really been wanting to apply, but am afraid that if I apply through the summer jobs section and if I got accepted, I would not be able to work for the full year, because I definetly really want to be working for the whole year.
Has anyone had issues with this?
I was wanting to hear back from someone who worked an entire season and maybe had the same problem.
Thanks for your time guys.

Hello! Summer jobs are April/May-October 31st/first week of November. Year round jobs are the ones (other than Castaway Bay) that are full time even when CP is closed. You want to apply for a summer position.

CedarPtForever is correct. When you apply for the summer job, you're pretty much stating that you are available from opening day (May 12) to closing day (October 28). If you're available in April for training, all the better.

Thanks guys!
Im really annoyed at myself that I didnt realize this earlier, because Ive been wanting to apply for a little while now!

I noticed another little problem when I was looking at the application.
Im actually currently living in Australia, but I am an American Citizen and do have a social security number and all that.

However, when applying they want all the reference details and phone numbers obviously to be American phone numbers and adresses.
The problem is, all of my references are from Australia and employers, because Ive been living here for a while, but I do have a residency in America.

So when they call me to set up a phone interview, I dont have any American phone number (obviously because Im living in Australia).
I contacted a little while ago the agencies who handle international applicants, and they said even though I live in Australia, I should still apply as a US citizen, because I am.

Has anyone here ever had this problem before?
Its a bit of an unusual situation I guess haha.

I really wish I could help you out with the other situation you're facing. But when I applied last year, I got an email from my manager to set up a date and time for my interview, so just let them know your situation when they email you.

As for being annoyed by yourself for not applying sooner...phone calls haven't even started. Not to mention, the full application just went up about 2 1/2 weeks ago. Also, there are so many returners who just finished the application, so you have nothing to worry about.

Contact your agentcy, all internationals get a type of work Visa. (I believe J1 Visa but I forget)

Right, Im returning this year and I have 2 friends that are TL's of Power tower and STR and they say they havnt even called for leadership yet. Its still gonna be a couple weeks :)

For your unique situation, you should probably email the park because they're likely the only ones that can give you the correct answer. There are some emails listed on the jobs FAQ page.

thanks guys for all the help!
I will email and contact the park.

Hey guys another quick question,
If I have emailed the park through the emails listed at the end of the Job's FAQ page, how long would I typically expect a response?
I am really hoping to apply for a job by the end of the week, and am wanting to know if I should call the park directly, and not wait for them to contact me, in fear of wasting time.

Thanks again for all your help!

You should probably call them directly to get a quicker response
