Seeing those pictures is so sad! I think CP is losing a great part of their history
Lara Croft - The Ultimate Tomb Raider!
"Wind it up!!"
At the GOCC party they showed a movie of them using the big chopper and chopping the pieces of the ride up and placing it in the dumpster. I was really sad when I saw that. It's like a White Water Landing slaughter.

There not taking there time. That means something, maybe some footers will be poured soon.

101 on Magnum and counting...
If any footers are being poured, it won't be for a while....a LONG while. This is just removal for future space expansion, AKA site prep. As for the way WWL's demolition is being handled, I don’t see why they would want to take it down carefully. They already said it wont be sold or anything. It's going straight to the dump.......oh, now I've made myself sad.:( *** Edited 11/15/2005 2:32:20 AM UTC by TTD 120mph***

CP wants the ride down before the snow comes. Making the demo. crew stay longer and cost more.
I said this before, if any type of site prep for a new ride happens, it won't be until the Spring.

Does anyone know for sure if the Station is staying for whatever is coming in 2007? I'm thinking if they use re-use the station for a coaster, they'll have to remodel it a little because the station is set up to turn. Now if they build another flume, they'll keep it the way it is and just build around.
Here's a thought I had on closing day, I was in town hall and noticed the WWL model... do you think they'll keep it or put the model in storage?

Castaway Bay Lifeguard 04-05
Knowing that Town Hall is a place to show the history of CP, I wouldn't think they'd put it in storage. That wouldn't make sense.

Maybe, just maybe, they will put one of the canoes in the museum... :)
From everyone on the CP&LE, RIP Mayor Scott...~
That would be a good idea. Or maybe for Halloweekends 2006 they will put one in The Land of Lost Rides.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
Pretty sad images on todays OnPoint entry.:(
Though the pics do give us a REALLY good idea of how much space CP has to work with.

So is the station gone too? From the recent photos it looks to me like they took that out as well.

They are treating the station really gently. And actualy I posted a comment once asking if would keep it. Never replied.
Thats because if they do reply, they're afraid they'll give too much information out. I betcha they'll just remodel the station and use it for the next coaster or water ride thats going in in 2007.
I've been meaning to create a small tribute page for WWL since October. Anyway, I've finally got it up. Check out my site if your interested. :)
