WT's Station

I was wondering if anyone who is working/has worked Wicked Twister could tell me why they don't allow you to "flood the station" so to speak?

OMG! The Space Spiral is leaning!!" Must be the weight of that new air conditioning system everyone keeps hypothesizing about...

I haven't worked it but would assume it is because the train comes in and out of the station 5 times.

Now tell me Cedar Point is running out of space.

Well with your logic, they shouldn't even let the next train of riders in, but they do.

I think that they only allow a smaller amount of riders in, instead of flooding the station, they always allow one train of riders in, and that makes purfect sense what Fury says

Because they want to get your asses in every line to fill the train. It's not any more complicated than that.

DELETED! What time does the water show start?

That reminds me of the stupid Millennium Force. We were waiting for front seat and got pulled out and put in the middle, the op said "We do not allow waiting for seats" so I asked him why the others got to wait and he just slammed my lap bar down so that I could hardly breathe.
It is so that one people that cross the train to put their shoes and glasses away they dont have other people going in the gates. Two if you have a bunch of people pushing and for some reason one of the gates would be able to be pushed open and the train came through and killed that person. Third It looks alot better that way.

Jeff got it. It's to fill in all seats, finding the single riders and empty seats. Plus people walk through the train and place things in the bins, and other people still on the platform(even though only one load goes at once) still think those seats are open and go to them, then you have 4 people for 2 seats, needing to open harnesses and gates, making your wait much longer.

I'm not sure about the specifics of Cedar Point gates, but I know there are some rides out there that have the gates connected to the e-stop, so if a gate is pushed open by a certain amount the ride e-stops. I know this was the case at a park I worked at a few summers ago. But the ride is moving at a good clip so even if it e-stopped it would take at least a little bit of time to stop completely.

Future CP Ride op?

even so if the train is on the back spike it is going to come through the station at full speed and then stop outside the station on the front spike.

If you allowed people to wait for the seat they desired everyone (shy a few cowards) would wait for the front and back. Even the GP can tell by watching the ride for about 30 seconds that the front and back are the best ride.

ONE freeway stamp a day... ONE

You'd be surprised on that one. Yesterday, WT was a walk-on pretty much all day. We were sending more than a couple trains with passengers only in the middle seats.

Same thing all over the park. Mantis opened up at 9 am for Joe Cool Club and we were still sending empty trains at 10:15 am. Dragster's wait was 1/2 hour when I stopped by and checked it out, and we only waited 15 minutes after work to ride Millennium Force. Yesterday was a beautiful day to be in the park (right up until the downpour, but that didn't last long).
