Back to the subject, I remember KI telling us the reason for the boat on their ride, as opposed to the disc, was so they could lower the minimum height requirement and more could ride. Perhaps if the ride wasn't in the family area, like the one in Santa Clara, the choice would've been different.
I like the KI ride and ride it whenever I see a line that isn't too long. I also get really grouchy if I'm forced to sit anywhere but the end seat. I really like the regular Disk-O rides, especially the larger ones with the bigger discs. I rode the one at SDC a couple times in a row and wound up pretty dizzy after that second turn.
So I think the ride is a good choice for what Cedar Point had in mind for the new area. It will be nice looking, stretching along the new midway. You'll also be able to walk under it, all that. I'm not mad at it.
