Writing a TR?

Alright, well I'm going to be headed up to the Point this weekend (Labor Day, I know) and I really want to write a Trip Report this time. I've been on a couple other trips this summer, and each one I say to myself "ok I'm gonna write a report for this one!" The problem is, when I get home, I can't remember any specifics I did with the exception of how many times I rode TTD, how much money I blew at the arcade, and how many times my sister dragged me onto Iron Dragon.

So I was just wondering, I see some really nice ones in here sometimes. How do you keep track of everything? I mean, do you take notes during the day or something, or do you just have better memories than me?

Just remember how many times you did things and little details. Also put a topic of discussion in it. Look at my TR, it has almost no details but created a nice little "boring" debate. I'm with you on this one I don't remember much details.

When I go to Cedar Point, I can remember everything. I guess because I can only get out there once, maybe twice a year. I dunno, there are somethings you dont forget, like TTD for the first time or scaring your sister saying "Iron Dragons gonna crash!"(My sister is 19. ;-P) . Of course, I remember better with a small souivenier, like a T-Shirt or a magnet (I have both a TTD and Raptor of both of them.)

Just enjoy the day, write the highlights later.

I used a combination of my memory and I also asked the people I went with if I couldn't remember.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Photographic Memory.

Exactly. Works every time for me. ;)

I don't worry about remembering all the details, just the exciting stuff. Does it matter that I rode Millenium Force 8 times when only the first ride of the trip is my fiancee's (well she'll be my wife before we get up there again) first time on it? Not really. I prefer TR's to be descriptions of an entire experience, what were the crowds, what was memorable, what was problematic.
Just a simple "Hey I rode, this, this, this and this" is retarded, and tells me the kid (and yes, they usually are kids) is just begging for attention or a cookie because they rode 18 bajillion rides but ran past the atmosphere that makes it Cedar Point.

Goodbye MrScott

^ If you were referring to my TR, I really can't describe the feeling I get there so I just give the basics and give a general idea of what it was like.

Alright, I'm leaving tomorrow morning. Thanks for the help, I'll just pay better attention to what we do, the experiences, etc. Look forward to my report sometime next week!

I'll be there Friday, Saturday, and maybe Sunday, 5'11" black hair, either wearing one of two black shirts that say "I'm not weird I'm gifted" or "Trust me, I do this all the time," or a white one that says "Safe Sax." I'll be with my cousin who's my height and has blonde curly hair (but usually wears a hat). Say hi if you see me :)

Hey I just remembered that sometimes I remember important details (like the name of a person who made an impression (good or bad)) by making a voicenote on my cellphone.
